I bought some 'wish upon a jar' from Soap and Glory the other week because it was a third off and I was feeling rubbish.

I use Clarins because I love it and I am lucky that my Birthday and Christmas are 6 mths apart so I can have it as presents.

But this stuff is bloody ace. I have a problem with flaky nose syndrome and at this time of the year even my lovely Clarins cant sort it out.

One day of using this and it went YAY.

You can use it as moisturiser or under you own day and night cream. You use it for 21 days once a 'season' (or every three months in normal speak).

I was a bit Hmm but gave it a go because I was bored and it was cheap.

I think its brilliant. I recommend to any flakey faced mumsnetters out there. I dont work for S&G honestly.

I don't undertsand- is it some kind of exfoliator? And why the time limit on using it?!

TwoNoisyBoys · 02/04/2011 12:29

Have just been online to order some, have also ordered the serum as thats a third off too. Am hoping for great things!! Grin

thefirstMrsDeVere · 02/04/2011 19:25

I think its got fruit acids or somesuch in it duna. I was worried it would make me itchy but it doesnt at all. It seems to have declagged my skin and made it look loads better in a really short time. It looks and feels like a moisturiser.

I think they say 21 days because if you used it all the time your skin would become sensitive.

S&G is the mutt's nuts. They were doing some great deals on boots online recently. I got £90 worth products for £40 as part of their "massive" offer. Not sure if they're still available, but a great way of trying lots of their products.

varyingdegreesofdeafness · 02/04/2011 20:18

Bright here bright now, their primer, if ab and miles better than a foundations because you don't get a caked on look and irt freshens up your skin. Love it!

WhatsWrongWithYou · 02/04/2011 20:23

Are these things of which you speak suitable for sensitive skin?
Pointless question really as everything I ever buy some fucker one assures me it's 'hypoallergenic.'

WincyEtNightie · 02/04/2011 21:07

I've bought this (and a lip gloss and an under eye thingy) off the back of this thread MrsD so it'd better be good Wink Grin

thefirstMrsDeVere · 02/04/2011 22:11

Well it works for me wincy . I am transformed. Grin

I dont have sensitive skin whats so cant tell you sorry. My mum has and she said she was going to buy some so if her head swells up and her eyes pop out I will be sure to update.

The reviews are so good I'll just have to order it.. Also some of that there cellulite cream.

thefirstMrsDeVere · 02/04/2011 23:04

Bloody Mumsnet. I have just ordered the big box thingy. There was an extra five quid off too.

How did that happen?

stylenotfashion · 03/04/2011 09:56

S&G is all you need, really is brill.

About the 21 day thing, on their facebook site they clarified that you can use it more often tan one cycle of 21 days per 3 months, it just depends on your skin type and whether you need it more often. For example, last year in the winter I used it 21 days on, 14 days off as I find central heating make my skin sallow and dull, but in the summer I used in 21 days then had the rest off, until October time.

Check asos periodically as they sometimes do S&G on half price with free delivery.

blardy heck something, what was it you were allergic to? Is it exclusive to s&g?

WhatsWrongWithYou · 03/04/2011 10:48

Thanks snf - I might try it anyway but use sparingly in one small area to start with. I had their Rubyournoseinit scrub and only used it on my nose and it did make it itch but didn't do anything to the blocked pores.

stylenotfashion · 03/04/2011 10:53

Fab Pore face mask is the daddy of pore cleaners. Like a dyson. For your pores.

thefirstMrsDeVere · 03/04/2011 11:53

It must be horrible to have such sensitive skin. My DS has terrible atopic eczema poor Sad

I love messing about and trying out new beauty products. Specially the ones that promise the earth (as long as they are on special offer of course).

That sounds awful something did you ever work out what ingredient it was?

Someone sent me a bag full of Clarins testers and treat sizes, I almost cried with joy. They have a new serum which even makes me itch so God knows what is in it.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 03/04/2011 20:40

So will that pore mask stuff get rid of the miniature but enormous in my eyes blackheads I've had on my nose since the age of 13?

stylenotfashion · 03/04/2011 21:30

Yes yes yes it will.

It's the work of the devil I think (in a good way). I too have had bastard blackheads forever and Fab pore Mask (the cheap one that £5/£6) blasts them away. Makes your skin squeak. Luff it :)

thefirstMrsDeVere · 03/04/2011 21:36

Grin the work of the devil in a good way.

My sister brought me the big boots box when she came to stay - I've just had a soap and glory shower session with facepack, shower gel, lotions...

Not in the box but I think their 2 best products have to be Clean on me shower cream and scrub actually body exfoliator.

WincyEtNightie · 03/04/2011 22:40

Well I used Wish Upon A Jar this morning. It's good. I don't look 10 years younger yet, but I have another 20 1/2 days to go so won't give up hope just yet Grin

thefirstMrsDeVere · 03/04/2011 22:50

PHEW. I was on tenterhooks wincy Grin

I love S&G - for years I've suffered from a horroble flakey nose every winter. This Autumn I started using S&G products and my nose hasn't flaked at all and my skin is in much better condition.

Valpollicella · 03/04/2011 23:08

So S&G will get rid of bastardy blackheads (also in residence since 13yo) and flakiness?
