Casual Summer Trousers

I'm still getting used to being a size 12/14, rather than an 18/20, and find summer clothes a particular challenge, so some help would be appreciated.

So far I've bought 4 long sleeved plain t-shirts 2 from Next and 2 from Fat Face, and a couple of vest tops from Peacocks, I need some short sleeved tops/t-shirts and some trousers.

I like cropped trousers, but I find that wider legged ones suit me better as I'm only 5' 4.5".

What do you think of these, Wide Leg Chinos

and this sort, cargo Trousser if I can find some that sit on the waist

I'm not looking to spend much, I'm nearly at my target weight, but I think I might want to lower my target, depends how I feel when I get there, so no investment buys yet.

However, we are away for a week at Easter and I only have one pair of cropped trousers that actually fit, all my jeans are falling down when I walk Grin.

Much prefer the second pair, I personally think wide leg cropped tousers are much less flattering than narrower rolled up crops. I think this sort of thing is much less mumsy

Well done on the weightloss-you've done great! x

I agree with Gillybobs-particularly with you not being the tallest person in the world, the narrower crops are far better.
With the wider ones, I think you're risking adding width, which is the last thing you want to do when you've worked so hard and done so well in reducing your actual width!

Thanks, I hadn't seen those, I'll have to go to next and have a trying on session.

I definately don't want to add width at this stage Grin.

I have the trousers that Gillybobs linked on today! I am 5ft and a size 10 and they are very flattering. They can be dressed up or down. I am wearing them with a navy stripe breton top and tan ballet flats. They also work well heels
