Hate to say this but sometimes cashmere starts pilling while you unwrap it from the packaging. If you really want to have something that will last, merino is a better choice. I currently have a couple of cashmere sweaters that look like the dog's blanket just after one or two weeks' wear. Hope your is better made. Recommend buying a shaver anyway.

I love cashmere but as with most things you get what you pay for. Supermarket cashmere pills dreadfully where as Brora is much better quality.

I'd have thought Pure would be pretty good.

brimfull · 01/04/2011 21:20

no way I can afford brora I'm afraid

will invest in a shaver though

I bought 2 cardies from Pure about 8 years ago and they still look as good as new. No bobbling at all!

brimfull · 01/04/2011 22:29

well that's good news dexter!

WhatsWrongWithYou · 01/04/2011 23:08

Anyone know if these people are any good?

KristinaM · 02/04/2011 05:38

My dh has wool overs knitwear ( not cashmere) and so far it's worn well

Also I have a F and F tesco cashmere jumper which is 6 years old. I wear it all the time and it has no pilling

WhatsWrongWithYou · 02/04/2011 10:04

I have an old cashmere waterfall cardi from Asda, must be at least 4 years old. Some of the seams have gone but it hasn't pilled!
