Please can you find me a dress for a wedding? I am losing the will to live!I am a bridesmaid...

I am about 5'1", size 16, dark short hair, pale skin.

Main issue with dress: although there are some beautiful strapless / spaghetti strap dresses out there, I have 40f boobs and not for one minute am i fooled into thinking a strapless bra will hold them up! My bras are feats of architectural engineering!

So, the main thing i need to accommodate is to be able to wear a 'proper' bra. And, pref bright or dark pink or red as the bride to be would like these colours, could be long or short, would like something I could wear again,

I have trawled the internet, I like the Hobbs Ranelagh raspberry dress, budget would like to be under £150, the further under the better!

Come on m'netters, I am calling on you in my hour of need!

And i am knackered so am off to bed but will look at replies prob saturday night, so poss won't get chance to post replies before then!

Thanks in advance ladies!

That LK Bennet dress is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G tehtersend. Love it.

RedwingWinter · 01/04/2011 01:39

Wow, tethersend is good at this.

I like the look of the Hobbs Ranelagh dress, and the LK Bennet one that tethersend linked to.

Since you mentioned pink, there's this one in Autograph

Another LK Bennett dress BUT REDUCED!

Hi everyone, thanks for all the replies!

Tethersend, wow, you do like a challenge!

I've already seen the Very Holly Willoughby dress and have it on my shortlist! Trying to persuade the other bridesmaid to love it like I do! But the Laura Ashley one is beautiful and i've just emaiuled her the details.

I appreciate you all taking the time to nosey, the Kaliko one some one showed is also one i've found but other bridesmaid i don't think is keen.

Ooh, fun shopping!

Redwing, the autograph one is gorg! The bride to be really likes that one and so do i, so it is a contender! The laura ashley one thersend saw is a bit more werable after the wedding, iykwim?

Yeah, I agree, and it's always best to get something you can wear on other occasions too! I like the Laura Ashley one too and the colour is gorgeous.

How much time do you have for ordering etc? I used the website below for my bridesmaid dresses because you can have different designs in the exact same material / colour. You choose the dresses that you want, then go to a stockist (there are loads) and order from them. It takes around 3 months for them to come back in. There's plenty of choice and lots of dresses with straps and I was told that the dresses are very generous in the bust. (I have a large busted bridesmaid Smile) The stockists generally have in a selection that you can look at / try on. The prices differ depending on the dress but I think mine were around 160ish.

Google Styleshake - you can design your own dress!

ameliameerkat · 02/04/2011 17:03

It's quite cheap too, I should add, and they seem to get good reviews on speed of delivery/quality.

Thanks, will facebook the other ladies about that site so we can all pick totally different similar styles and fall out all do as the bride says! Grin
