Really comfortable evening shoes?

I don't care if I end up with old lady looking feet! I need some really comfortable evening shoes/ sandals as I'll be (a) on my feet for 7 hours and (b) on 'show' so I can't slip them off and get my flip flops as I've done previously :)

And I have wide feet too unfortunately. In the summer I seem to live in my Birkenstock Gizehs.

Is there any hope?!

How much do you want to spend? Rachel Simpson shoes are lovely and very comfy. Many of the styles have a small to medium heel (rather than skyscraper).

tethersend love the New Look peep toes... and I have found a couple of their high heeled shoes strangely comfortable. And bargainous which helps too

love the sandals, but £57? hmm

How much is comfort worth?! If I do a cost-per-wear, not such a bargain unfortunately...
But then again, it's an old dress, so I've already saved £££ :)
