Does anyone know how to get rid of this?
I have lots of little white spots on the tops of my arms and they don't go.
I can squeeze them, but they just come back.
I moisturise and exfoliate, but they don't go.

This has been since the birth of my DD and she is over 2 now. I hate getting y arms out now Sad

If anyone has any advice that would be great.
THanks

Hello!

This happened to me with both my pregnancies. It's called keratosis pilaris. Horrible. Summer comes and you're so much more conscious of it - I'm guessing you've had some sunny days where you live!

Apparently it can be made worse by using products with certain chemicals in them. If you google it, there is loads of conflicting info about it and encouragement to buy outrageously expensive creams for it.

On advice from a doctor friend, stopped using exfoliants, and only used shower gel or soap on the 'vital areas' (armpits, bum etc..) I also try to (as often as poss. was my hair leaning over the side of the bath, rather than in the shower, so it shampoo doesnt run down over me.

I moisturise using this: www.chemistdirect.co.uk/doublebase-hydrating-gel-tube_1_9677.html

Within a week of doing this, it was completely gone. Honestly, I couldn't believe how quickly it went (other than a couple of bits where I hadn't been able to resist having a pick and it scarred.) Blush

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. I will google and look at that cream tonight once DC are in bed. I'm glad to have a name for it at least.

It is a sign of vitamin A deficiency, often caused by a shortage of zinc, due to the fact the body needs zinc to release the vit A stored in the liver. Try a zinc supplement and up your intake of orange fruit and veg.
