good coverage liquid concealer

I have quite bad skin, in particular around the chin area and always found a heavy duty liquid concealer the best option.
My all time favourite was an estee lauder product in a tube, but in the last couple of years it has been discontinued.

Any recomendations please? Ideally liquid, mid skin tone and quite high coverage (unlike the one I'm currently using). Willing to pay ££££ for the right product as its the most important product in my makeup bag!

Not liquid but Benefit Boing is AMAZING. V High coverage without looking ridiculous and really lasts. Highly recommned

perfect have you tried changing the way you clean your face? Rather than concealing, try to tackle at source?

FWIW I find benefit boi-ng the best too

Maybelline minerals concealer is really good, I sometimes use this without any foundation when my skins good.

Estee Lauder's doublewear concealer is good. I also like the creamy one from Laura Mercier.

Cybbo ideally if changing skincare regime helped then the OP would be able to eventually have less need for concealer but in the meantime I wouldn't imagine she could change her cleanser rather than using concealer. Spots around the chin and jaw area in particular are usually symptomatic of hormones, in which case changing your cleanser will only get you so far.

thanks everyone. Cybbo I have always had spots on my chin and I agree they are due to hormones so not really too much i can do about it.
Might go to the benefit counter and have a test!

Myface Mymix from Boots is very good for me. Also like the MAC one in a tube with a wand type applicator - select moisture cover.

Havingkittens · 31/03/2011 15:33

Just wanted to say, if you use one with a wand applicator on spots it's best to roll the sponge tip on the back of your hand and use a brush to apply the product so that you don't cross infect any spots!

Another vote for MAC's select moisture cover. I have terrible skin and this does a great job, also comes in lots of shades (I have a winter shade and a summer shade to get the ideal match).

Another vote for Estee Lauder Double Wear here.

(And go and see a dermatologist...I also suffered from hormonal chin acne until I went to see one! Sadly it has flared up again in pregnancy - can't use the treatment if ttc/pregnant - but before that was under control for the first time in my life. Amazing!)
