My new obsession! I don't wear jenas or trousers. I'm a dress and boots or flats kinda girl. I'm also feeding a 4 week old. I scour ebay and have found a few lovely dresses but I'm on a total budget. Still a bit too tummyish for wrap dresses. Are there other auction sites? Do any mumsnetter have anything to flog. I'm a size 10 to 12 and a short arse. Wish I could dress make!!

Watching.... And if you can find bring dresses that are ALSO made of majority natural fibres and are suitable for everyday wear not just black tie occasions I would also be most grateful.

Bloody acrylic crap everywhere.

How about dresses made of a jersey fabric that you can pull down?

Most breastfeeding-specific clothes ming. I wear Issa/dvf dresses (they are silk jersey and can be had on eBay for the same as many a high-street item) and their ilk and pulled them down, to the side. Only dress I couldn't feed in was a very high necked vintage one. Then I pulled it up (was wearing opaques, thank god)

I breastfed for over two years -- actually am still breastfeeding 2-1/2 years down the line (although only once a day so outside atire and access isn't an issue) but didn't want to have maternity, then breastfeeding gear as well as normal gear.

I have the frugi one bought of ebay but tbh I still look up the duff in it. I'm bored of black and tshirts with the v panel in shitey colours don't work. Is there a wee untapped market for us bella?

Lovely dresses but all for posh parties. What is modal fabric?

Yes, let's start a business irishqueen, cotton jersey everyday bfing dresses. Under £100.

Hopalongcassidy · 30/03/2011 19:46

I have two Frugi ones - the older style is fab, thick cotton that doesn't cling to every lump. The new one is a bit (unflatteringly) longer and thinner, so not great.

I got 2 more from Asos from the Mamalicious range. They have a weaponry bustline so aren't tentlike but not skintight either. I sized up and got L though I am 14 and hoping to get back to postbaby 12, and they draped really well. They have quite a few dresses listed as 'nursing' in the maternity section. Also, free returns so dead easy if they don't fit.

Normal bfing tops are almost all grim, and, while I did the top up/vest down thing first time, this time I am too podgy and tops not loose enough. Dresses all the way until i can't wear tights anymore!

I saw a fab one in M&S Limited COllection just after Christmas. Was reduced to £6. Was my size. Was still TTC. Didn't buy it. Kicking self.

BellaBearisWideAwake · 30/03/2011 19:55

M&S do bfing clothes?! Fab!

irishqueen · 30/03/2011 20:09

Thanks ladies! God wish I'd seen the m and s one.checking out ebay cheers otcha!!bella I'm with you but my budget is less than that lol. You know the frugi one is just a v neck with a bit if jersey stitched accross the v neck. Maybe even I could do that.
Right let's start an mn business!

I'm happy with under £50!

Thecatwhowalksbyherself · 30/03/2011 20:18

My daugter is now 3 and long given up breastfeeding, but I love a dress I bought from Mamaway so much i'm still wearing it. Here is this years selection.

BellaBearisWideAwake · 30/03/2011 20:23

I have a few mamaway tops which are great but I find their dresses are all either tunics or acrylic. They had a lovely tea dress style one a few years ago but I wasn't bfing at the time. Wish I'd bought it though.

I used these. Great customer service.

I sold some on ebay, but they didn't have a BF category (I think) so had to use maternity-other as the listing.

NonnoMum · 30/03/2011 20:27

Sorry try this

I have a collection of dresses like this for bfing.

That one is over £100 but I'm sure there are similar ones available for under.
