I have UGG boot style ones which I love but DH hates. My niece bought them for me as i always have cold feet.

I don't think stylish slippers exist!

expatinscotland · 28/10/2005 16:25

Yes, they do!

I bought a fab pair from Office.

They look like this:

cool slippers

tassis · 28/10/2005 16:26

i thought there were some lovely ones in Next; not sure i'd describe them as stylish though...

but they can smell rank if you're not careful

zippitippitoes · 28/10/2005 16:28

Delightful pair

Gobbledispook · 28/10/2005 16:39

Not stylish particularly but boden have a lovely pair - hugely overpriced as usual though - hoping someone buys them for me for christmas. My lack of slippers means all my socks get holes in really quickly.

lovely cosy boden slippers

Sainsburys are also doing a pair of sequined ones in pink for £8 - saw them in a magazine but none of the sainbos near me do them.

zippitippitoes · 28/10/2005 16:41

I used to always have slippers but for the last five or six years haven't had them eiother bare feet or thoise lumpy german sandals

katierocket · 28/10/2005 17:36

I like the ones from office and that is a good price isn't it. Boden ones look v comfy but they remind me of some my gran used to have. We have horrid cold kitchen floor and it is awful to walk on in winter.

Those Boden ones are frump central gdg! Dh would ask for a divorce if I wore something like that.

I wear sort of thin Birkenstock style things for the house. Was very anti slippers before living in countries where noone wears shoes in the house and realising how much more civilised it is.

The old lady downstairs in my block of flats here in Turkey knitted us all traditional Kurdish slipper/socks. Bless her!

hoxtonchick · 28/10/2005 17:48

i have ones like the office ones, but they're red, bought from our local poncey market. really thin leather that stretches, v. comfy. might go & put them on now!

puff · 28/10/2005 17:49

Our local shoe shop sells these socks that are like a pair of boots with non slip feet. Quite funky looking.

SueW · 28/10/2005 18:11

bobux for grown ups?

LadyTophamHatt · 28/10/2005 18:18

30 quid for those boden things....are you mad woman??

30 quid for a pair a slippers....

I like the bobux ones but even they are 20 quid, I go through slippers really quickly so £5-6 is my limit.

Love TWC but they too are taking the piss in monetary terms.

melsy · 28/10/2005 19:19

Oh had the office ones , but bought them locally for like £20 !! and the damn sequins have fallen off . Me very upset as they are sooooo comfy.

katierocket · 28/10/2005 22:26

hmmm yes, there are some lovely black ones on the white company but £30

JanH · 28/10/2005 22:31

Wouldn't want to walk round a lot in cashmere socks. Great for sleeping, but not for dirty floors or when the kids spill stuff on you.
