And what was it like? Did it give good results? Mum has been looking at this for a while and wondering whether to join her (poor fish) Blush

There was a thread about this recently, have a search.

I've had one, it was ok, bit tickly at the beginning but you get used to it. Not super effective though (but I went at the end of the day when they are apparently less hungry so less effective )

Haha, thanks Minipie, good tip we'll be there for their breakfast, thats a shame I was hoping for miracle super smooth heels.

Have been a couple of times now, first time with a friend just out of curiosity, second time because dcs and dscs kicked up such a fuss that they didn't get to go!
It's quite tickly to start with, but quite pleasant - kind of like a strong stream of bubbles aimed at your foot - like putting your foot over one of the jets in a jacuzzi.
Feet did feel softer, but not remarkably so, but it was something different to do!

MissFoodie · 30/03/2011 12:32

I'm desperate to try it, am just concerned by the hygiene aspect??

I'm lurking.

I'm curious as I could feed an ocean of fish with the skank on my feet.

I would even go so far as to see it as a contribution to the furtherance of the survival of the natural world.

Have thought about this but am slightly scared and don't know why. (Maybe over-feeding the fish?)

notapizzaeater · 30/03/2011 12:38

My DS (8) had one and he adored it - giggled and laughed the whole time and he didn't have any yukky skin they still "kissed" his feet. Personally I'd rather walk on glass but hey ho !

otchayaniye · 30/03/2011 13:12

I had a couple in Singapore and they were funny but totally useless

Nice soak and some rasping with a Diamancel is what works for me.

rookiemater · 30/03/2011 13:46

Bleugh, saw this in Center Parcs, looks gross to me.

Havingkittens · 30/03/2011 15:05

Imagine if all your life revolved around living in a little tank, eating dead skin from people's feet Sad. Poor bloody fish!

Not keen. The salon I use has it. I am booked in tomorrow for an old-fashioned normal pedicure to get rid of as much crap as possible. And I have really ticklish feet - even the normal scrapping away with a blade that they do here tickles me!

sharbie · 30/03/2011 17:12

for some reason my feet are skank free at the moment
