if so where did you go? how much was it and did it look good?

i have heard it can look really effective and natural as they kind of tattoo individual "hairs" on and blend the colour to suit skin tone, hair colour etc

i have none existent brows and have to dye them every couple of weeks or i look really washed out. but when they are freshly dyed my eyes and eyebrows look great so the thought of having permanent eyebrows really appeals to me.

No, but I've heard good things from other people. They look very natural and sound well worth having if you constantly need to dye your existing ones.

Have you tried applying olive oil at night? It's meant to help brow growth.

The person I recommended on the other semi-permanent make up thread has a patented technique called 3D brows where she uses a few different tones to create depth and give a really natural look. Some tattooed eyebrows can look a bit drag queen!

kittens ooh thank you i will have a look :)

seashore - i tried vaseline (which is meant to have a similar effect) but all it did was make my forehead a bit spotty! probably the grease :o so not sure i would try olive oil tbh as its similarly greasy.

is supposed to be the expert - would love to have it done, if you do please let me know how it is!!

I had mine done a year ago by Tracey the Director here www.naturalenhancement.co.uk/ and they are bloody lovely, even if I do say so myself - really natural and not at all drag queenish! She/they tattoo individual strands of hair in a colour that matches your skin tone and hair (and she discusses this in great length beforehand as well as showing you the sketched out shape). My eyebrows almost all fell out (and I am very dark haired so it was extremely noticeable) and I would spend a lot of my day drawing them on/touching them up/worrying about if I had wiped them off so having them tattooed was literally life changing.

You do have to have them 'topped up' every couple of years as apparently they do fade but for me it was/is worth every penny as they are such an important face feature. But I must admit I found the process very painful (still worth it though and I still admire them daily!).

Don't do it!

My MIL had it done in the '80s, not a good look in 2011!

Havingkittens · 31/03/2011 22:11

Yes but techniques have changed a lot since then, as have fashions. Also it's semi permanent so won't last 20 odd years anymore!

I would urge you to research who you let loose to do this obviously but if it's done well it's fine.
