I very rarely have chance to go to one but, today I will have to walk by. Is it worth looking in?

PJs
Jewellery
Little scarves
Bags
Socks
Underwear

Basics really. But every now and then you will find a gorgeous dress or jacket that you will pick up for a bargain and wear to death Smile

Re the vests- they have adjustable straps so I would say yes could be pulled down for BFing easily- they are v.stretchy.

Agree with others who said that PJs and tights are great- tights better than M&S- but I find the pants fall down? Or maybe thats just my enormous tum!

LakeFlyPie · 30/03/2011 09:22

Moules - if you have a Peacocks nearby they have great bf vests ATM

I've never been into Primark, am I living a deprived life?

sahminspain · 30/03/2011 09:55

I bought a striped spring blazer three springs ago and it is still going strong and everyone complements me on it!

Lulumama · 30/03/2011 09:56

jersey maxi dresses with thick straps for £11
chiffon cover up/floaty things for £10 to layer over summer t-shirts etc

also good scarves for £4 or so

TruthSweet · 30/03/2011 10:51

Moules - yes they are but you need to make sure you don't pick up the rigid strapped ones by accident. By some fluke the stretchy and the rigid ones look nearly identical so check before you buy (even if you swap sizes in the same colour - sneaky whatsits those vests).

The best ones have adjustable straps too and if you go to the underwear section they do tummy control ones for £5 that work really well. Not saying you do need them but if you are bfing there's a very good chance you've had a baby recently and might be feeling less than washboard in the stomach area Wink.

I got a black jersey midi dress there last week - it's exactly like one I owned in 1985. I am wearing with black leggings, ballet flats and a boyfriend blazer and convincing myself I still look exactly the same.

kittya · 30/03/2011 13:52

Which branch do you go to? The harrow one is horrid.

Wood Green is quite nice, clean and tidy.

Harrow is like a jumble sale full of old tat

BulletWithAName · 30/03/2011 18:07

I was pleasantly surprised with the Wood Green Primark actually, it was very tidy and well organised and I went there when it was heaving!

The Romford one is very good too, and so is the Lakeside one where I usually go.

lololizzy · 30/03/2011 18:17

I have been stopped in the street a few times over my striped maxi dress (long sleeved) it was featured in various fashmags. Mind you, it is last season now! not that that bothers me, just saying, you won't find it now...

Today's Primarni purchases! A lovely little sundress - black background with creamy/yellow flower print. Could be worn with cropped black leggings underneath if you were feeling a bit self concious (sp?) £9. A pair of tan lowish heel shoes with 'cut out' bits on the top of the shoe £12. They have them in cream and black too (not one shoe cream and black, iyswim.) The aforementioned dresses they've got in pink and green too. Cartoon print undercrackers for Husband £1. They also had some yellow ones with red chilli print which say 'Hot Stuff' round the waistband. He says he's very relieved that I didn't buy them. A pair of pale denim skinny jeans £8.

Hatesponge · 30/03/2011 22:28

the vests (adjustable strap ones) are excellent. I bought mine 3 years ago when they were only £1.50 a throw, I have 6 Blush in various colours, the black one - which I have prob worn once a week since then, is starting to fade, but other than that they have lasted really well. def worth buying!

the evening bags are nice, I bought a v pretty pink satin-y one in the sale for £3 a couple of weeks ago. Also underwear, bras go up to F cup and normally about £6 each, last equally as well as M&S ones 2 or 3 times the price.

My latest bargains - cream cap sleeved jumper, low neck decorated with little pearls. Cost £10-12, looks v expensive and lots of compliments. Also pale pink/neutral sandals £6, flower on the front (am not describing them well, they are v pretty and a def bargain!)

plus accessories - beads, hairclips, scarves and the like. oh and tights.

bromley primark is my fave, though to be avoided on saturdays when full of teenagers with long, swept over fringes :)

BulletWithAName · 30/03/2011 22:32

I bought a lovely shirt dress in there the other day, it's black with diamante buttons and has multicoloured flamingo pattern all over- very retro!

MummyPenguin · 31/03/2011 08:20

I nearly bought that yesterday, BulletWithaName, it's really nice isn't it? Bet I'll get it soon!

BulletWithAName · 31/03/2011 09:43

It is and it looks really nice on as well, I'm very pleased!

tigerbear · 31/03/2011 09:47

Beige suede ballet pumps for only £12 - very comfy!
