I think I want this dress. Do I want this dress?

Here.

I want some more colour in my wardrobe. Floral prints, big or small, don't really do it for me. And I like a stripe.

But, another maxi dress? I've got 4. But they are all plain. And it has got sleeves - which I like/need.

Confused

So, do I buy it? I'm 5'5", size 12, and 43.

She looks like a Neopolitan icecream.

But you are tall and slim, so it would probably be fine - in an icecreamy sort of way. :)

Havingkittens · 28/03/2011 20:35

As a child of the 70s, I can't help but think of an old school packet of Refreshers when I see that. Although I suspect the shape of the model probably adds to that vision.

AintMissBeehiving · 28/03/2011 20:37

I think that would look nice on you found Smile

noddyholder · 28/03/2011 20:39

It is lovely

foundwanting · 28/03/2011 20:41

Thank you Miss Grin Are you well? Shouted 'Bumsex' anywhere recently?

And thank you, BelligerentGhoul for saying that I am tall. I have never been tall before. In fact, I only have one RL friend who is squatter than me.

So, shall I buy it?

BelligerentGhoul · 28/03/2011 20:43

I'm 5'2 - EVERYBODY is tall compared to me! :)

I think you should buy it - you like sripes; you want colour; you want sleeves - it offers all!

shoedilemma · 28/03/2011 20:44

I want it too now. Love it!

Buy it immediately. And then maybe I will too.

foundwanting · 28/03/2011 20:47

Can't quite buy it immediately because some sweetie cloned my card and went on a shopping spree in Buenos Aires. Lucky bugger.

But I am stock-piling ideas for all the money that I haven't spent on food and children while I am card-less.

If it doesn't look great on the model, I take that as a bad sign.

She doesn't look great.

noddyholder · 28/03/2011 20:57

God I think she looks amazing .... well compared to me! Grin

brimfull · 28/03/2011 20:58

I like it
I would look hilarious in it though

you must buy it

pointydog · 28/03/2011 20:58

I can't see any of the model's shape. She looks like a big bendy moam chew bar.

rookiemater · 28/03/2011 21:03

It looks super on the model and I don't normally like maxi dresses. Think you would have to check it looks ok when seated I would worry about those broad horizontal stripes.

foundwanting · 28/03/2011 21:06

Hmm So, MN seems to be largely in favour...although I will look like confectionary.

And now I am concerned that those who are saying 'buy it', just want the opportunity to point and laugh. Thanks ggirl Grin

This is not helping my dithering brain make a decision.

Ooh nice, you would need some nice long necklaces to draw the eye down. Possibly wooden with a chunky bangle to go? Your age and size are fine for this btw :)

AintMissBeehiving · 28/03/2011 21:09

yy buy it and then you can wear it for our next meetup when it'll be your turn to shout "bumsex2 in a public place Wink

AintMissBeehiving · 28/03/2011 21:11

Aargh "bumsex". Dog on lap typo

TigerFeet · 28/03/2011 21:14

Are you a curvy size 12 or a straight up and down size 12?

Not good on curvy I reckon.

foundwanting · 28/03/2011 21:15

I am much more highbrow than that. I have been practising ennunciating 'Glittery Wanksplash' in a voice that would put Lady Bracknell to shame. Consider yourself properly warned. Grin

I probably will buy it as soon as my new card arrives. Or sooner if I can persuade DH that it is a 'need'. Although he is still reeling from doing a big supermarket shop for the first time in 4 years.

I am not usually so dithery about clothes. Too much thinking time now I can't just click and buy.

I giggled!

MooM00 · 29/03/2011 10:24

H and M have a similar but IMO nicer one , can't link to H and M (can anyone?) but page 15 of the dresses.

MooM00 · 29/03/2011 10:25

I'd wear it if it wasn't for my mummytum.

Desperateforthinnerthighs · 29/03/2011 10:27

It's a lovely dress...do you have lumps/bumps/a tum coz it will cling and show everything.....if you an get away with it though go for it, it is really nice!! xx
