Anyone recommend a Dr for mole removal?

Its on my face so obviously I want to minimise scarring. I'd really like a recommendation, rather than just finding someone from google.

I posted this in General Health but perhaps this is a better place?

Thanks.

Mr Adrian Richards at Aurora Clinics is an excellent surgeon. He removed a huge mole on my side at the same time as he did my tummy tuck. There is very little scarring and I would thoroughly recommend him.

Prof Tony Chu. He used to have a NHS walk-in mole clinic too somewhere in London - maybe Hammersmith or Guys.

Should have said I am in Manchester so hoping for somewhere in the North West or someone who has a clinic up here.

Thanks

I was going to suggest Dr Raj Mallippedi at St Thomas' in London, I have just had a lesion removed below my eye by him using the Mohs procedure. He is considered the best in his field and comes highly recommended. However, If you google American college of Mohs, there may well be someone located in Manchester. As it is in on your face Mohs may well be your best option as this minimises scarring but this is usually used for cancerous lesions, however cutterage is also an option.

Is this a cancerous mole or did you want it removed for cosmetic reasons?

sarajones - thanks, mine is just cosmetic.

Ask your GP for a referral to a Plastic Surgeon, courtesy of the NHS. On the very remote off-chance that you need follow-up then you're in the 'system'. If there's a waiting list then there's nbo reason why you couldn't see the same PS privately. I believe there's an excellent Plastics Unit at Manchester.
