Converse don't quite look right? Must be flat, warm (i.e. not glads) and comfy!

ive just done a search on amazon of all places and they have some flattish shoes by a spanish co - el espanita I think it was. Spenny but flat and comfy looking

madammecholet · 28/03/2011 19:56

maybe trainers so you can run away from people when they laugh at you wearing harems...Grin

....sorry, bit harsh, but I think they look ugly & a bit silly.. Sad

longislandicetea · 28/03/2011 20:01

lol madamme. I do own a pair but was put off wearing them when someone called me aladin whist walking down the street! Blush

To answer the question I would wear ballet pumps this time of year

The only time I saw hareems looking really properly good, was in a hairdressers. The hairdresser who was doing my hair had a black pair on, with gladiator type sandals on (but not tan ones) - flat, of course.

The whole drapey floppy trouser thing with the cropped ankle hugging cuff with a gladiator really did look fab, I swear.

She was short but very very petite (which helps with a lot of things I find!)

She had this volumonous black bottom half with a skin tight black t-shirt of course.

I promise she looked fab. I had to check her out again and again when I thought she wasn't looking just to drink in how fab the outfit looked. And generally I dont like the hareem thing.

I think the gladiators were gold leather, and quite a fine strappiness. And she had a tan.

The bitch Hmm

What type of hareems? How big are we talking, and smart or casual? Brogues can look good with smarter hareems.

vacamoni · 29/03/2011 08:02

thanks all
i have a couple of pairs, one fitted and smart, one huuuuuuuge - real aladdin style :o
i can;t wear gladiators, (crap feet, plus it's freezing out there, people!)
i will check out el espanita, thanks
brogues probably a bit clompy, i have quite large feet
i have been wearing some mary jane style shoes but would like something that 'goes' a bit better
i probably look like a loon anyway so perhaps it doesn't matter :o
