What do I wear on top???

I have bought the most gorgeous pair of black knee length boots and have also got a black cordrouy (sp?) skirt that comes to just below the knee to wear with them but, what on earth do I wear on top? I'm kind of hopefully going for smart casual but really have no idea what would suit this look. I'm no dainty fairy either, a good size 16 bottom and 18 top!
