The ones in M&S are boring and Primark v slutty (such a surprise). Doesn't seem to be anything in Debenhams from the website.

Help!

I like the Pour Moi Linear and Hestia I bought a Freya one last year and have worn it precisely once - I have muffin bottom that escapes underneath itHmm!

scotsgirl23 · 27/03/2011 20:46

What size and style? (strapless, practical tummy sucking in, seduction.........)

laInfanta · 27/03/2011 20:48

It's supposed to be sexy, size 8ish, 34C

I kind of need it by Wednesday as well, so can't really get mail order...

I will have a gander.

but

please, don't be offended...can I ask if you've had a good bra fitting recently(NOT M&S!!!)? Whilst not completely impossible, if you are a size 8 it is highly unlikely that you're actually a 34 back, most women wear too big a back size and too small a cup! There was a thread the other day about it.

laInfanta · 27/03/2011 20:57

Haha.... well. I haven't had a bra fitting. I bought new bras yesterday (from sexy Primark as it goes) and 34 was too small. So I don't know. Where do you get a good fitting?

I agree with scotsgirl23 - you more likely to be a 28/30 or maybe 32 at a push. You can get next day delivery (at a price-£6) but I think it would be worth it to get something decent.

moragbellingham · 27/03/2011 21:01

Panache confetti is pretty and I'd be after a 32dd!! (considering I thought i was a 34c in M&S for years)

scotsgirl23 · 27/03/2011 21:03

get ye to Bravissimo is possible, or john lewis or debenhams. Seriously. The old bra size charts use some seriously funny measuring systems that involved adding 4 or 5 inches to your underbust. This no longer works - fabrics change, sizes change, yada yada)

As a VERY ROUGH guide - your underbust measurement in inches is roughly your band size. Measure your broadest part of your bust - every inch difference will be roughly a cup size. It's approximate but will give you an idea of how far off you are or aren't.

www.corsets-uk.com/ are very very good with next day delivery. Highly recommended Grin

The girls at What Katie Did are very helpful and their deliveries usually come within 48 hours. They also have a boutique on Portobello Rd.

Ooh I like corsets-uk purple - is it your site??

When you get your bra size measured, do you have to get out your actual naked boobs?

OP posts:
purplepidjin · 28/03/2011 07:31

No, but i've used them and mates have used them with good results so I thought they deserved recommending!

scotsgirl23 · 28/03/2011 10:32

When you get fitted, what a decent fitter will do is look at you in your existing bra, they'll look at how it fits, pull the back to see how loose it is, things like that. They'll then judge based on that what size to try and they'll bring in a bra in that size (they'll happily leave the room while you swap) and then they'll check how it fits. It may take a couple of rounds of this to get it perfect.

A good fitter won't actually measure you at all. And there will be no need for naked boobies!

laInfanta · 28/03/2011 12:31

Good. I don't do nude (other than with certain folk, obv)
