Yes, have turned into a middle aged mum and have eyeshadow creases after an hour Sad

Has any other middle aged mum found a way to stop this, or a product that this doesnt happen with?

Thanks Smile

YOu need a primer - try Urban Decay. It is magical

PortiaPony · 26/03/2011 18:30

Bobbi brown, especially the long wear creme. I didn't believe the sales girl when she said it didn't crease but now I own about 10 different colours!

aStarWithHerOwnWays · 26/03/2011 18:32

Agree with said, the Urban Decay primer is a wonder product. Just bung it on before you apply eyeshadow and hey presto, make-up that stays where it's put.

zalana · 26/03/2011 18:34

Jane Iredale lid primer is fab and definitely helps eyeshadow stay in place and last longer!

Pagwatch · 26/03/2011 18:34

Yes. Get a primer.
I like the Laura mercer one.

Ah good am glad Bobbi Brown has been outed as the queen of cream shadow.

They are addictive and nothing else in your makeup bag will get used now!!

I'd try them without a primer personally, as I think they're that good. If you still find creasing, splash out on another product as described, but for me, Bobbi Brown is all you need. Got me through a 14 hour wedding marathon in July last year. THAT good!

beverleyjayne · 27/03/2011 11:04

what colours of bobbi brown does everyone wear?

stylenotfashion · 27/03/2011 11:06

Sandy Gold for every day, with a little Beach Bronze as an eyeliner (yep it doubles as that too!).

Galaxy for a change - lush deep silver.

I want more but they are ££ and I have to behave. Dammit. Grin

Another vote for urban decay primer- amazing!!!

madhousewife · 27/03/2011 14:11

i'm a bobbi brown addict

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 27/03/2011 14:24

Are these primers specifically for eyes? I have tried my No 7 face primer on my eyelids and it makes the eyeshadows go very dull and chalky looking.

wendihouse22 · 27/03/2011 15:22

I use Estee Lauder DoubleWear concealer in 01 Light. It's a mat, stayput wandy sponge thing.....and whatever I put on top of it stays.....indefinitely.

FreeButtonBee · 27/03/2011 19:23

Another vote for the urban decay eye primer. It is a dedicated eye shadow primer and works like magic. I''ve work up the next morning with pristine eye shadow after a 'bog' night.

It means you can use a cheaper eye shadow and still get full effect. They also do it in a tinted version called 'sin' which is my favourite shadow that they do. So when it runs out I will be getting that version.

HelloOutThere · 28/03/2011 11:59

can the face primer be used as eyelid primer too or doesnt it work as well?

Bobbi Brown is great
As is Mac paint
And also Max Factor do a new one that is fab (but need a primer underneath)

polyhymnia · 28/03/2011 13:23

Yet another vote for Bobbi Brown, with special eye primer. I love Becca eye tints too, but they're not very easy to track down.

FritziGreenEyes · 28/03/2011 19:29

Mac eyeshadow plus primer. I love it!
