Would this dress work for a girl's (hen) night out? How would you accessorise it?

this Wallis dress

I'm a size 8-10, 32 years old, pale skin, dark hair, blue eyes. I have a black cropped blazer but that is my only 'going out' jacket. Any suggestions re jewellery/shoes? I am v skint so am hoping that I have what you suggest already!!

Well, it's not terribly exciting BUT it would look fine with black opaques and a black blazer. I think you'd need killer heels with it though. Would be nice with silver earrings and a silver cuff, maybe?

Black and navy can work quite well together so would go with your blazer. Agree that heels would be required to dress it up a bit.

Primark have black vvv high patent type shoes, with opaque tights as Bell has said check out their range of chunky necklaces as well
I love the dress I am your size and colouring and would wear it

I've got a kind of silver chunky statement necklace, a bit like this I thought I could wear, or I have some nice dangly silver earrings I could wear instead.

Thanks for the tips re: black tights and statement shoes... I have some fantastic wedges from Autograph last year that are kind of grey/pewtery metallicy (sound weird but are lovely) colour - do you reckon they would go? I'd have to go tightless though.

The wedges sound perfect - but am not feeling the bare leg thing tbh. I think bare legs with a black jacket look weird.

I like the necklace a lot.

Thanks for the links, I think I'll probably stick with the dress I've got though, to save my money for a few cocktails! The blazer has three quarter length sleeves, so I reckon it might be ok with bare lower legs? It's this one.

Lovely jacket - personally I really wouldn't go with bare legs with it, though. However your legs are probably much better than mine!

Ok, thanks for the advice, I'll try it all on tonight and make a final decision then re black tights and shoes or wedges :)
