White jeans? What do you reckon?

I have bought this top because that colour suits me well but I'm not sure what to wear with it. The model is wearing white jeans but I'm a size 14 and I'm fairly sure they'd make me look bigger not smaller.

What do you think? Or, what else could I wear withthat top?

I'd say as long as you wear them quite long with a heel of some sort probably a wedge, you will look lovely. Or waht about white linen trousers? Or turned up denims?

I'm a size 14 and I bought some white jeans last summer. Saw photos of self and they did make me look bigger, not flattering AT all sadly. That top is lovely, but wear with normal jeans. Or navy trousers of some other description.

If you buy jeans- ie quite thick denim- I think they are quite flttering, more so than baggier linen type trousers.

Turned up denims is a good idea. Pale denim?

talkingnonsnse - I tried on pale linen trousers today that I had in the wardrobe and they were awful. I'm not sure if it was because they were a size too big or if they always looked that bad.

White jeans - no, never, just no.

How about some navy chinos with that top?

I was thinking Liz Hurley in a bad way myself.

Albino - I have big thighs...hhmmm IT sounds like a bad idea even to myself.

What about a this sort of skirt?

I would wear white jeans but only with a long top or tunic over my bum. I am about a size 16 (tallish). I think that with a long navy top they could look quite summery. I rather like the slender white-jean-clad look but can't carry it off personally.

I think pale or indigo denims turned up would both look nice with that top

As long as they are:

straight leg
thick denim/cotton so they hold their shape.

Do not go for linen. They will slouch and bag so quickly and will make you look 2 sizes bigger by the end of the day.

That top would look lovely with straight leg indigo jeans which you could turn up at the ankle to give a crop look (rather than the vile 3/4 length cut you off at widest part of your lower leg type)

tulpe - Big hips and strasight jeans? I usually take shelter in bootcut jeans. Maybe I'll get some and try. Pic on profile, in case that helps.

I don't reckong you have to end up looking like Liz Hurley. Anything she wears makes her look like a Brazilian tranny, but yes, the white jeans/gilet/ and mules combo is the worst look for her!

She is the only person I remember having seen wear them though.

I think you'll find that I am Style and Beauty personified and if you can't wear white jeans with the same flair, that's your problem.

I've ordered the top and I'm planning on wearing it with a white denim skirt (knee length) or indigo jeans (turned up - natch)

I'm a big bummed size twelve.

I also desperately want white jeans but my DP will take the piss...
