Not-so-boring t shirt advice needed!

Im not the most stylish of types and tend to live in jeans and t shirt - I have 2 small boys and I childmind so thats what works for me at the mo. I always find it hard to find decent t shirts that:

  • dont shrink after one wash
-dont sit too high (I have a tummy to cover!) -are not totally dull
  • dont cost a fortune

I tend to like Fat Face since their t shirts are just nicer somehow - and tunics good too - but they are so pricey. Anywhere else I could be looking..? Any t shirt advice would be fab!

Gap ones are good I find - wash well, long enough and good value.

Hobbs, boden, lands end? Paying a bit more for heavier cotton is often worth it if you want them to hang well.

If you don't mind logos then Superdry or Bench use nice cotton - you can get Bench ones that aren't emblazoned all over! Abercrombie and Fitch t-shirts are great quality and long - not cheap though. Hollister are cheaper and have the most lovely soft cotton but it does mean going into their horrible shops.

Have you given H&M a try lately? A lot of their t-shirts (not all but you should be able to kind of tell by looking which ones are good cotton and which ones are yuk, iyswim) have impressed me with their quality. They do lots of really long ones to hide tummy Smile and they're very cheap - mostly £6-£8 i think - so you can buy a stack. I really like layering a vest under a deep v-neck t-shirt, covers all lumps and avoids flashing too much when bending over.
