trying to remember the name of a perfume i wore on my wedding day

it was quite posh ( ie i didn't buy it, a friend who worked in fashion got/stole it for me form their cupboard!)

it was french

it may have had Madame in the name, not Madamemoiselle

it could have been by Bvlgari, I saw it once about 8 yrs ago in the airport but there weren't many of the brand. Could have been Boucheron, but the packaging was quite eccentric old skoolish.

I am since divorced but would love to rediscover it or sniff it again. Does anyone have a clue. i have googled all i can remember, but not come across it.

I'm sure you've come across them on google but was it Madame Rochas or Femme by Rochas?

GastonTheLadybird · 24/03/2011 14:06

What did bottle look like?

Udderly · 24/03/2011 14:07

Hardly Coco Mademoiselle?

piratecat · 24/03/2011 14:08

no not those, thanks.

it was a very normal perfume bottle, slimish, like something you would get miss dior in.

I see that you've said it wasn't Madame Rochas, but have you checked a picture of the old packaging? If you Google image search it you'll see a few shots of the old box, which had an incredibly retro brown wallpaper effect.

BlackSwan · 24/03/2011 14:12

what did it smell like?

FauxFox · 24/03/2011 14:17

madame lancetti?

piratecat · 24/03/2011 14:26

flowery but deeper notes aswell.

it was somehting like bla bla bla by madame de la cabone or boucherie

yes boucherie might have been the word i am striving for. it was not a well heard of thing.

OP posts:
piratecat · 24/03/2011 14:27

i have checked the boucheron ones, not there.

gah !!!

Have you seen this website Quite a few there. Madame de Carven maybe? or Madame de Pompadour (that comes in a slimline bottle).

piratecat · 24/03/2011 14:31

violatricolour, the bottle was similar, unfortunately as it was 'acquired' it didn't have a box.

i remember working in R&P 1998 in London, and a girl there said it was her fave perfume, name drop and very irrelevant factoid there!!

OP posts:
piratecat · 24/03/2011 14:31

wondering if madame was in it now Blush i swear it was. oh dear !

AlmaMartyr · 24/03/2011 14:33
