she dresses for her annual trip over the channel.

Does she think she is on Howards way or something?

im half tempted to pretend i have a ferry jacket, or a yacht jacket

Grin That has made my day. Thank you!

herecomesthsun · 24/03/2011 10:53

Sounds very Boden. (We are planning to take DS for his first trip across on the ferry this year. I will have fun teasing trying to persuade DH, who is basically a big hairy biker, that we need ferry jackets)

withagoat · 24/03/2011 10:54

but its a FERRY
my worst ferry time ever was on teh comit comet from POole to cherbourg at 7am when ONE family thought it would be a great idea to let their kids play hungry hippos

Exactly! A ferry, not a bloody yacht... Gahhhhhhhb Some people!

But I think herecomesthesun (trying very hard not to add dah dah dah dah) you really ought to dress said big hairy biker ish DH in one. Because it will be funny. With a cravat too.

I will now have that song in my head for the day.

Maybe she thinks she's on Triangle...

wendihouse22 · 24/03/2011 13:43

That navy will show up the kid's vomit nicely, if it's a choppy crossing.

Hassled · 24/03/2011 13:49

:o
The ferries I've been on have been grim grim grim. One memorably featured a river of vomit that you had to cross to get to the MacDonalds on board. I don't think a special jacket would have prepared anyone for that.

noddyholder · 24/03/2011 13:50

If you insist on looking at boden this is what you get!

ShatnersBassoon · 24/03/2011 13:50

Excellent! She's solved the Ferry Jacket problem. Now we just need a Narrowboat Blouson and all will be well.

shmoz · 24/03/2011 13:52

Emo PMSL at Triangle, god that was a spectacularly shite prog

Hassled · 24/03/2011 13:54

Who was that Triangle woman with the cat-like face - Kate someone? Older glamorous brunette, possibly also in Dynasty.

shmoz · 24/03/2011 13:55

Did she also have very thin lips...?

midnightexpress · 24/03/2011 13:58

Kate O'Mara.

It also featured Gavin's dad out of Gavin and Stacey, IIRC.

wendihouse22 · 24/03/2011 13:59

Yes ...Kate O'Hara? O'Mara? O' not a clue really but she also had slanted eyes like a cat. She was 103 when she was in Triangle but looked bloody good.

Thin lips too....who said you couldn't "make it" without a pout. Kate did.

Hassled · 24/03/2011 14:02

It took me so long to find her you were all there ahead of me

cyb · 24/03/2011 14:02

Oh god I LOVE Kate O mara

midnightexpress · 24/03/2011 14:06
do you think?
NinkyNonker · 24/03/2011 14:06

Haha, I instantly thought of the Red Funnel over to Isle of Wight (I'm dead classy me) when I saw this title...immediately started wondering why I'd never thought of having a specific jacket for the trip. We've got a yacht, should I buy this just to wear on it then?!

Gingefringe · 24/03/2011 14:06

LOL - I read that review some time ago and thought it was really strange - so funny that OP picked it up. Must look out for some other weird Boden reviews.

The ferry that we go over to Ireland to is nicknamed the 'vomit comet' and I think most ferries are pretty depressing. Can't imagine anyone actually having a special jacket just to go on the ferry!!

DewinDoeth · 24/03/2011 14:07

I was going to pretend it was me. But it's not.

I wish I could claim that my clothes have categories, but really I have only 2 categories - clean, or dirty. I aim to wear the first category for most occasions.

herecomesthsun · 24/03/2011 14:09

Wouldn't it be great to have her back in Dr Who?
