I've worn them for the last 4 years and really it's doing me no good. i do a lot of walking so i need a sandal that will be comfy, but i want something a little more stylish.

i love birkis and wear them all summer... i flirted with fitflops last year, and with some very comfortable flipfloppy type shoes made by Grendha, here...

Mephistos are best. Very similar to Birkenstocks but far fewer people have them.

I bought these after seeing them in Marie Claire and they are AMAZING

It looks like Grendha released a whole new range just a few days ago. Some nice looking stuff, //www.grendhaflipflops.co.uk - I've been wearing these for a few years and they are the most comfortable flip flops around and this year range look very funky. Now I might have to have some more new shoes :) hehe

Fit flops are the only ones that have tempted me out of birkis, comfort wise.

Eek - Mephistos are twice the price of Birkis Shock

OP - stick with the Birkies - nothing will get me out of Birkies, other than 6 foot snow drifts. You do know that you can get them from TK Maxx now?

just to reiterate Jeee's post i saw £40 Birkies in TK MAxx
couple of weeks ago reduced to £22.99. they had patent black, red and silver amongst others!!

Scholl Biminis are comfortable but slightly less clumpy than Birkies, IMO
