i can't believe how crap my skin looks - all this bright sunshine has a downside, you know!

I think a big part of it is just bad genes - my dad has very crepey skin, esp around his eyes and forehead and my mum's side of the family tend to have pores you can park a truck in. Lucky me, I seem to have inherited both!

i'm starting to think that anything i try to do is probably just pissing in the wind and that maybe i should just accept that i'm a (nearly) 30 year old with the skin of a 50 year old. I don't smoke, don't drink much, any late nights are due to the kids not bloody well sleeping, I eat well, use an SPF in summer (when i can find one that doesn't exacerbate (sp?) my bouts of adult acne!) I suppose I do tend to get stressed easily and shout a fair bit, although that's something i'm working on at the moment, but overall I can't see why i should look so much more haggered than anyone else my age.

i do tend to sleep on my front (again, something i'm working on) and wake up with one side of my face even more creased than the other. Last night I tried so hard to stay on my back but ended up hardly sleeping at all because of it, so that sort of defeated the whole point. Wondering if i should try those 'Frowneze' things, or whether it's a bit late for those; the wrinkles don't seem to be fading over the course of the day anymore. Ho hum...

I've turned into a hairy wolf over the winter Hmm

Poor you! I swear by L'Occitane's apple almond range. It tightens, brightens and smells lovely. No idea if it would work for you but worth popping into a store and asking for a freee sample and giving it a go. The eye gel is awsome.

Silk pillowcase. Proper silk not cotton sateen or polyester.

It doesn't wrinkle up like cotton so you never wake with a crease.

Mine was £20 on amazon.

thanks Iloveshoes, there's a branch near me, i'll give it a go.

fluffycloudland - sounds promising, but i can't help thinking it's more about my habit of burrowing down into the pillow (dd2 does the same thing, but lucky for her she's got a good 30 years before it catches up with her!)
