Am going to a christening on Sunday and can't really afford a new pair of shoes. Have a lovely pair of 'just' open at the toe thick strapped heels, that woukd go with the dress if I wasn't wearibg tights, but it may be too cold to go without tights! Could I wear them with tights?

depends what colour shoes/tights you're talking about I think, got any pictures?

Holymoly321 · 22/03/2011 15:56

The dress is navy with subtle sequins, the tights are shiny navy, the shoes are patent navy with patent burgundy detail

Then I wouldn't have a problem doing it personally. Go for it- it's not quite get your legs out weather!

That's what I'm thinking- though tights and sandals keeps reminding me of very uncool teacher at school who wore old lady sandals and tights in the winter!

Closed toe would be better I agree, but I shouldn't think you want to go buying new shoes now!

Basically people will see my heels in tights, you can't really 'see' the toes as the open toe is very small, but you def see all my heel

Closed toe - I dont think open toes look right with tights unless the tights are very slight.

Holymoly321 · 22/03/2011 16:05

The toe isn't really the issue fir me, as I say, the open toe is very very small. It's the open heel end that I'm not sure if, thigh the ankle strap is very chunky

Bloody iPad! Open heel end I'm not sure of- though the ankle strap is nice and chunky. What do you think?

I reckon with bright tights/opaque tights and funky/chunky type shoes, it will be totally fine. Those are the circumstances I think is fine towear peep toe shoes, so easily extrapolated for open back shoes too.

Enjoy the christening

thank you judge Gene! I am going to go for it! Grin
