Where to shop? Short legs, long body

Title says it all really, I have 29 inch legs, petite is almost always too short, regular always too long.

Fat Face short length is usually perfect but styles are limited. Leggings/skinny jeans and tunics look absolutely hideous on me, despite being an almost (but not quite) 10 on the bottom my legs are quite chunky and unshapely.

Any ideas gratefully received Smile

Watching with interest because I also have 29" legs and a long torso. Waistbands and ties on tops are always around my ribs a la empire-line and sleeves never reach to the end of my arms.

Unfortunately I have never yet found a brilliant shop for this.

I have short legs and do surprisingly well in new look and Laura Ashley( of all places!), can never ever wear next. Monsoon hit and miss, Dorothy Perkins poor, boden ok, White stuff variable!

short legs unite!!

do i dare suggest trinny and susannah - the skinny one has my figure exactly, short legs, long torso, no boobs so a few years back i watched her outfits religiously. Top Shop used to do longer length vests which I'd throw under my T-shirts for that double layered look which shortens your torso.

long trousers over a heel help lengthen legs. gap jeans work well for me.

me too. I remember a tip of trinny and susannah was not to wear 3/4 length trousers as they would shorten your legs further.

I like top shop jeans - either Martha's or Baxters, but also gap real straight are good too.

I often have a problem buying tops that are long enough (not a good look with a belly) - gap are too short for me often. I have some extra long tops from Isabella Oliver, and mint velvet are ok too.

I wear alot of jumper dresses (in the winter) and maxi skirts/dresses look good I think too in the summer - they suit having a long body (my body is defnintely better than my legs). I can't really do tunics either. But skirts look ok on me if they are either below the knee, or fairly short - i.e stop at the thinnest part of my thighs.
