Am I searching the wrong way?

Good morning MN. Smile
(Polite opening, hoping for helpful responses).

I wasn't sure if this came under Style and Beauty but here goes ....

I am trying to get myself booked in for a brazilian wax.

Salons are very expensive and I am trying to find a mobile beautician/wax-person. However, very few of them actually do more than the plain old bikini wax.

I have looked on yell.com but there seem to be very few.

Should I be searching under something else?

Also - why do so few of them do brazilian waxes.

I can understand that someone wouldn't really want to be staring up someone's lady bits for a living, but they do other quite unpleasant things (like feet - bleugh!)

Any advice? - and also, what do you consider a fair price for this?

Im a wax virgin myself, but surely they'll take off as much as you ask them to? Also, have you looked into getting it done at the local college? It'll be MUCH cheaper and although the girls there aren't fully qualified they are supervised :).

Rachiebabes11 - thanks for that.

Actually, they don't take off as much as you ask. They have to have had particular training for the more delicate areas.

I have joked that there is nothing delicate about my "underneathy-bits" but they are adament that they cannot do it. Grin

Might try the college, though - great idea. Thanks. Smile

The only problem is, some of my friends' daughters are doing this kind of thing at college and that might put them off their chosen career! Grin

Oooh I squirmed a bit at the thought, I'd be far too much of a wimp! It's a bit silly though that they can't do what you need, I thought that was the norm! And as for putting your daughters friends off their chosen careers... I'm sure they've seen all shapes, sizes etc and if they haven't been put off already then I'm sure they won't bat an eyelid at you! (As a carer myself I can honestly say that once you've seen one you've seen 'em all!) :o

well, brazilians seem to regularly be around the £30 mark (in london anyway). what i would sometimes do if I was feeling skint and wimpy was get a normal, high wax with a 'landing strip' and then shave off the underneath bits myself. is that wierd?
i'm v pregnant and going for braz on friday this week. am dreading it.

I would much prefer a DIY job but I just can't seem to do it.

I can happily epilate the front/sides bits but it's my "underneathy-towards the bum bits" that I can't do.

Have just had someone call me back with a £20.00 quote at a salon (I'm in the Midlands - it's cheaper here) but I can't make their available times.

Can't believe how difficult this is!

Beginning to think my "underneathy-bits" are a no-go-area! Blush
