Would you recommend an Avon make-over??

One of the mums at playgroup is an Avon lady ? she hasn't approached me at all, but I'm feeling rather frumpy and washed out at the moment. I don't really want to go to a department store make-up counter as I'd feel too self-conscious and I thought it might be better at home, under lighting I'm familiar with, etc.

I want a refresh on my ' normal' daytime make-up and a good evening look.

Anyone done it??

I have bought some Avon stuff because a mum at school is doing it-she is really good at saying wait until next month to get this because it will be on offer and she never pushes anything. I don't think they do makeovers it is just looking in the catalogue and buying stuff, but I could be wrong.

I went to a Body Shop party where the rep. demonstrated different creams and eyeshadows etc. I was a willing volunteer and it was lovely. I assume Avon are the same. If you got a group of mums/friends together and hosted a party you'd get a discount on all the products you buy and a free gift Smile.
Unless I'm completely wrong and Avon do no such thing Grin

i used to be an avon rep,
it depends entirely on the rep, some of them do host parties and do demonstrations/make overs, but some just sell from the book,

what about a local beauty salon?ours often offers well discounted treatments too with the trainee's (who are just as good)

Ooh thanks, I was just assuming she did make-overs but she might well not. Her own make-up does always look good though (I guess it has to!)
Not sure I'd want to host a party, I used to do telling for kitchen stuff so I think I've tapped my friends enough IYSWIM!

Well ask her what she recommends because she always looks good Grin and ask her what Avon products you need to buy. She may well offer to come round to your's and give you a full demo. She will have loads of samples surely.
If you don't ask you don't get Smile

Sigh, telling = repping!

yep,if hre make-up is always perfect,it certainly wont do any harm to ask her which products are fab.

i love most avon stuff, only thing i dont like is the face creams,as they make my skin greasy, but their bath stuff/perfumes and make up is fab :)
