My lovely mum has said her and dad want to buy me a piece of jewellry for my 40th. The only 'special' piece I don't have is a silver pendant. Any websites you can direct me to will be most appreciated. Thinking around the £50 mark so Tiffany's is out Smile. As I type I am wearing 18th bracelet from parents, 18th necklace from DH and 30th earrings from DD. So something timeless.
Thankyou ladies

Why would that link have been deleted then??? Confused

Sorry everyone. Somehow I managed to contravene some rule and my posts got deleted. Not sure why as other people were sharing links and I didn't mean to spam. I was just trying to be helpful letting people know some of my favourite sites. The shoes were on Love the bag Love the shoes (no link in case I offend again!)

maryjane71 · 23/03/2011 22:10

Very odd indeed Iloves Smile Thankyou for the link, I put it in my favourites Grin

No problem. I obviously did too many. It was my first day on mumsnet and I guess I got overenthusiastic. I love to shop and love the share :-) will just not both in future... better safe than sorry.

stylenotfashion · 24/03/2011 07:18

I saved the lation jewellery into my favourites too.

Share - don't be put off hun! I've never heard of that before.

THANK YOU FOR THE EFFORT!

Have you looked on Etsy for something completely unique and artisan? there is a wonderful jeweller called stratussilver that casts leaves, twigs and flowers from silver. it's really very delicate and beautiful and they are on-offs. Fifty quid could get you something like this cast from a wildflower.

Anyway - etsy deffo worth a look. Good to support artists and craftsmen!

BlooferLady · 24/03/2011 07:33

one-offs!

BlooferLady · 24/03/2011 07:34

I want these bracelets but can't think of an excuse to buy 'em... Sad

stylenotfashion · 24/03/2011 08:28

Don't forget Folksy is the Etsy of the UK...and no import tax of 20% at Customs.

I get lost for hours in Folksy :)

BlooferLady · 24/03/2011 08:31

Good point style - though Etsy does have UK designers....and I've never paid import tax owing to minor fraud Grin

Iloveshoes001 · 24/03/2011 09:39

Thanks. I guess I did too many at once. Sharing on bags, shoes, make up, jewellery, hair clips and all sorts. I think they thought I was some kind of PR agent for all the companies rater than a shopaholic Wink.

Iloveshoes001 · 24/03/2011 09:40

Folksy do some amazing stuff.

ElenStone · 24/03/2011 17:23

I make silver jewellery and take commissions. I'm in the process of redoing our site to put the new range up at the moment, but there's enough on there to give an idea of the kind of stuff we do and everything that's on the site at the moment is discounted by at least 50% off what it'd usually cost, so you might snag a bargain .... if you'd like to have a look it's www.artela-shop.co.uk

Let me know if anything takes your fancy or if you'd like to look into having a piece commissioned, I'd be more than happy to give a fellow MNer a discount :)

maryjane71 · 24/03/2011 20:44

Aww thank you Elenstone Smile. So that's etsy, folksy and artela-shop. Will go have a look!

Yes do keep posting links Iloves Grin

Once again, thank you all for your lovely replies

Back again and feeling brave... May get up my nerve and add a link later. I just checked out your stuff Elenstone. Nice! Loving the earrings :-)

ElenStone · 26/03/2011 14:12

Thanks, Iloveshoes and good luck with your link! I got in trouble for posting one the other day too, apparently advertisers don't like it. Have to say, I don't agree with that stance ... mums should be able to share advice on good sites or discounts (if we have our own businesses or work for companies that'll let us give them out). It's all part of being a mutual support network, isn't it!

I'm loving your links by the way :)

Iloveshoes001 · 27/03/2011 19:02

I thought so... :-)
