If you have no budget for new clothes, how about trying out a new look for your hair - try styling it differently/ tonging etc, or wearing it up?

Also spend some time going through what you have and trying out different combinations / accessories etc. I've spent the odd afternoon doing this when tidying wardrobes etc and I usually manage to come up with a new look - even if I was about to ditch something.

New accessories can liven up existing clothes too - I am a big fan of scarves.

If you normally wear jeans, try a dress. I live in dresses now - they're so easy but at the same time look good. As you are tall and slim, most styles would look good.

well i have just dyed my hair, its a dark honey blondish colour. its half way down my back and very very thick. i have just started using straightners on it, which looks good, normally just bung it up in a bobble. i do wear dresses, but not so much this time of year as i feel the cold badly and its not always practical with 4 kids.

Do you have your hair layered CherryMonster?
Long layers work well styled straight or for a tousled look. I like not to be tied to one particl;ar look, sometimes I wake up and decide that today is a 'curly' day :)

Re the dresses, you could layer over a long sleeved t shirt, add a longline cardigan with skinny belt, opaque tights (or leggings) and boots - you'll be warm as toast.

no, i have not long had layers cut out of my hair, as with the layers, even with ghd's my hair would not be straight. my style tends to either be bootcut jeans with skinny top, or skinny jeans/leggings with boots and floaty/ loose top.

What about trying a maxi skirt? Would work with boots and only £10 for a bit of a change until the weather warms up...

CherryMonster · 20/03/2011 22:45

i hadnt thought about one of them. i love wearing skirts, but normally reserve it for the summer months when its easy a long floaty skirt, maxi dress or short denim skirt. my legs are probably my best feature, along with my hair and eyes. i need advice on makeup too as i hardly ever wear it. i can apply it really well, but am not sure what colours suit me.
