Supermarket / Drugstore Beauty Buys

DH just landed his dream job. Problem is the salary is loads less and I'm still on mat leave. Any recommendations for cheap beauty buys (supermarket, Boots / Superdrug etc.) for when my normal decent stuff starts to run out?

Baby oil for eye make up remover. I use it and I have contact lenses.

Aldi q10 cream for my neck. And q10 eye cream.

eBay for expensive stuff.

Smartprice cotton wool pads. Still mineral water for toner.

I use sains basic roll on antiperspirent, it didn't sting last time I used it but I bought asdas smartprice one and that stings like hell. I use the cheapy pantyliners 22p and sanitry towels too there only 14p.

Some people on here do the oil cleansing method, you could look for that thread, it might be on money saving expert as well.

Asda did a smartprice body lotion for 40p which was surprisingly good for 40p but I can't find it now. St Ives do good body lotions, the pound shops are worth a look too.

We are saving for a house so I'm on a massive economy drive too.

Garnier Hydralock handcream is half price in Superdrug at the mo and is fantastic. I have that one and Clarins and whilst the Clarins smells and feels nicer, the Garnier one actually works much better.

Aveeno body lotion is cheap and v good for dry skin on legs.

Another vote for Aldi's Lacura range. I LOVE the serum and night cream, and together they cost just over a fiver Smile

I also regularly check out the poundshops as there are often bargains in there. Savers is another great shop too.

The Boots expert heat protection spray is the best I have tried, and I have tried many expensive brands and none compare. That is around £2.

Tesco's currently have some of the Garnier day creams at £2, and their own vitamin E brand is quite good too.

Hope that helps Smile

I'm a huge Aldi's Lacura head too. I haven't found any of their beauty products that I don't like yet.

Their concealer knocks Touch Eclat sideways and it's only £3.99.

M&S £1 body lotions. Called "Essential Extracts", you get 300ml in a pump dispenser. Wild Berry is nice but....one of the few products that make my skin feel "plumped and moisturised" all day.

E45

Make up wise, RImmel Lasting Finish 25 foundation (awesome), bourjois blusher or eyeshadows, Max Factor Masterpiece mascara, Rimmel Lycra nailpolish, Revlon lipsticks. All as good as premium products imo

Yes I forgot the lacura eye concealer. Tis fab. You can get aveeno on prescription or e45.
