How do you remove styling wax from hair?

I posted in chat but didn't get any replies so I thought I'd try here.

Ds (6) had a dress rehearsal for a show today. His part requires him to have slicked back hair. I bought some styling wax from Superdrug and followed the instructions. Seemed to do the job.

Have washed ds's hair tonight (2 lots of shampoo) and it has dried shiny, ie wax is still there.

Help! What do I do to get rid of it? Ds's hair is now sticking out all over the place and it looks a mess.

use neat shampoo on dry hair, give it a good rub then rinse. This should work, I once used blue wax to spike my hair for a show and it wouldn't wash out. More experieinced show person offered this tip after 3 days of wearing a hat constantly!!

Good luck!

Thx for that. I'll try tomorrow and hope it works! If not then Ds may be having a haircut this week. Smile

Fairy Liquid should also do the trick :)

Agree with the neat shampoo on dry hair, lots of it!
