Boden AVIGNON Jacket

For those of you who wanted me to report back...

it has arrived.

I am pleasantly surprised. But it's too small. I ordered an 8 but it will only just fasten. The shoulders are fine so I am anticipating the 10 being too big on the shoulders- but will exchange and see.

The pale blue colour looks - dare I say it- chic. (I am goldy-blonde and pale-ish).

My only reservation is whether i will wear it that often. I have just bought the taupe trench coat from Mint Velvet as a spring/summer coat.

That looks nice.

How do you find the shape though? I've found several Boden jackets to be quite boxy (in an unflattering way - i.e. meant to be shaped, with seams etc, but didn't fit that way when worn).

It's not boxy really. The front has seams and it's a snug fit. it IS short- waist level on me. I am short so I don't like jackets that come over my bum, like blazer styles tend to be.

I think I am going to return it though- not sure. I don't know how much I would wear a "smartish" jacket like that- the idea was to wear with jeans/linen trousers but not sure if it will look too smart- i tend to wear cardis most of the summer.
