Flatter stomach
I'm already a 36HH. I don't need anymore!!

dottyaboutstripes · 19/03/2011 14:50

Flat stomach. I've had huge boobs, I prefer them smaller as they are now (would prefer them more if they were pert but after breastfeeding 6 kids you can't have everything - including the flat tum I'd like!)

WhatsWrongWithYou · 19/03/2011 14:50

Have 30G boobs already flat tum and no more of this new-fangled muffin top would do me!

sleepyhorse · 19/03/2011 15:11

Don't know what to do. It's fair to say I'm quite slim, size 8-10 but I seem to constantly have quite a belly no matter how much I exercise. Obviously it helps a bit but the problem is as soon as I eat any carbs I bloat loads. I have always had small boobs which never bothered me too much before but since having 2 children they have completely shrunk! I'm now a 32a. So just generally feeling bit depressed about my body. Sometimes I wonder if I got a boob job (I would go for something quite subtle) not only would it make me look more feminine on top but would it also make my waist and tummy look slimmer?? Or would I be better going for tummy liposuction to get rid of the excess tummy fat I can't seem to shift and then if I had a flat stomach maybe having small boobs won't bother me so much if that makes sense? What do you think? Need some advice ladies!

I think proportions are quite important - I'm bigger than you, but I've found that when I'm losing weight I get to a certain point where I start to lose bust and switch from looking hourglass with a (disguisable) tummy, to looking pear shaped. So for me I'd rather keep the boobs and live with the tummy as the overall appearance is better day to day.

However that is a bit different to surgery! I did notice that when my MIL had a boob reduction, her tummy looked significantly bigger. She ended up getting a tuck too as it upset her so much!

feelingridiculous · 19/03/2011 15:47

They are both major major operations. I feel similar, after breastfeeding my breasts have shrunk to an A-B, and they use to be D on a normal non pregnant day. I have lost all confidence in my body etc. BUT the number of breast augmentations that go wrong is staggering, you may end up worse off. And the implants need replacing every 5-10 years, at most.

Liposuction again is extremely risky. Is it really worth the associated risks of potential disfirgurement, infection, even death under a general anaesthetic?

I miss my boobs and don't feel confident in that department, but hopefully if I swim a lot and do more exercise they will perhaps improve. I do like to have small breasts in a way because they don;t hurt my back any more, won't sag so much, I can go bra-less, etc etc. It feels nicer to have smaller breasts imo

cyb · 19/03/2011 15:52

I'd like half and half. Belly a bit smaller, boobs a bit bigger

missorinoco · 19/03/2011 15:54

I have largish boobs, am a size 8 and like you always have a belly.
Hence I go for the stomach.

But one hard thought is would you really feel better post op? As in, for me, I cannot describe how much I HATE my belly, but suspect it is in part linked in to self esteem, and if I had surgery I would find some other problem to dwell on.

What about a session with a personal trainer to target your belly? Cheaper than surgery, and it would give you an idea what you thought of the results.

Meglet · 19/03/2011 15:56

I like my compact boobs.

Stomach needs a bit of work, but a few abs classes would crack it.

sleepyhorse · 19/03/2011 17:04

Some good sensible advice on here. Maybe surgery is a bit excessive and like some of you said it can go wrong, quite frightening really. Just sick of people asking me if I'm expecting my third child! As Im quite petite then have a belly it does look that way. I suppose to get a flat belly it would mean lifestyle change but I like my glass of wine with dinner so it's going to be very hard. Plus maybe a personal trainer is the way forward too. I guess we can't have it all can we, no pain no gain etc. Also just did some research on liposuction and says fat can come back anyway unless you eat no fat.

My friend had a boob job and instantly looked fatter.

GoodnightNobody · 19/03/2011 17:08

bigger boobs. I'm a skinny lass with a belly.

my aa cup chest is smaller than my tummy.

If my boobs were bigger than my belly I wouldn't mind.

sleepyhorse · 19/03/2011 17:33

Goodnightnobody - I have the same prob re my boob size being smaller than my belly. Where do you buy your bras from as can't seem to find any that flatter me?

OP posts:
DilysPrice · 19/03/2011 17:40

I have a flat chest and stomach and wouldn't swap for bulging versions of both - you can always cheat with the appropriate bra.

Bunbaker · 19/03/2011 17:44

Bigger boobs. I only crept up half a cup size when pregnantSad. My stomach is pretty flat but having no chest makes me look too skinny and I can't get clothes that fit or hang properly on me due to lack of boobage.

HalfTermHero · 19/03/2011 17:44

Best and safest bet would be smome good control knickers and a good padded bra. You can add a cup size with the bra and the pants will help your tummy. Maybe do somthing new and lovely with your hair and make up to distract you from destructive thoughts about your healthy body. Buy a beautiful handbag or a stunning diamond pave ring with the money instead. Smile

Lambskin · 19/03/2011 17:54

I agree with Panzee. I have big boobs and if I wear a baggy top I look fat. If I wear a tighter top people stare. Blush

WhatsWrongWithYou · 19/03/2011 20:28

Let them stare, Lambskin - just wear something flattering (not high-necked) and sod them.

Flat tummy, deffo. Boobs already big, so is tummy!

BlooCowWonders · 19/03/2011 20:36

M&S '2 sizes bigger' bra. Works a treat on my AA's and makes my stomach look so much smaller :) Well, so would eating less, but the bra was only £12 in the sale and worth 10x that...

withagoat · 19/03/2011 20:37

i find it ODD when peopels Guts are larger than tits

annapolly · 19/03/2011 20:41

Work on your abs, if you are not overweight you should be able to get a flat tummy.

MrsCampbellBlack · 19/03/2011 20:44

Have never had a naturally flat stomach but being at my slimmest - its fine.

I have reasonable sized boobs and certainly wouldn't want them any larger - wouldn't mind them being up where they used to be though.

However spanx and a good bra sort out both tummy and boobs.
