Possibly the best mascara ever

I just had to share this mascara. I have a bit of a mascara addiction and am always sucked in by the ads even though they clearly say they're enhanced photos.

I've been using this for a week and I love it. It's great for everyday but builds up easily and gently for a thicker more dramatic look. It feels unlike any mascara I've ever used (Dior, YSL, Clinque, Clarins, Maybelline, Rimmel, Sephora, BB etc.)

WOW that's £££! Beautiful packaging though.

I did read that it's not so much the mascara which is important but the brush it comes with...I always look for the biggest fattest mascara wand as I find these make my lashes look the best.

I love Barbara Daly full on mascara.

I am with those who vote for blinc or blinc-style ones (prefer clinique to blinc overall). I need no-smudge.

If you found blinc impossible to take off you were probably not doing it right.

Blinc is not massive on the volume, but it is very black and it does not come off.

The Clinique curling one has a similar formula, and I think one other Clinique one too, which might be a better "volume" one - you'd have to ask at the counter. I tried yesterday in Boots but there was no-one there.

I recommend the clinique one too. It's the only mascara I use now. Comes off so easily. Preferred it to blinc.

Gingefringe · 17/03/2011 10:10

I am very impressed by a new Clarins one called 'Wonder Perfect' in black. Gives amazing volume and length.

Also tried Blinc but felt like my eyelashes were coming off when I tried to take it off as it forms little 'tubes' around each lash.

Terry de Gunzburg - French woman who used to head Yves St Laurent makeup line, then started up her own business. Remember going to her first shop in a gorgeous setting in the Palais Royal in Paris more than 10 years ago. Really 'took off' here when Space NK took up the line.

I'm a fan - have been ever since I used to look forward to visiting the boutique in Paris. Doesn't mean everything they do is perfect of course.

PS - sorry for repetition - didn't read thread right through!

wendihouse22 · 17/03/2011 10:14

Ah, anyone tried the Clarins Wonder Length Mascara? The one with the wand like brush (not traditional fat, bristly brush)?

BitOfFun · 17/03/2011 10:20

I think we need photos too.

stylenotfashion · 17/03/2011 10:22

a bit of useful info, methinks

I now want the clinique lower lash mascara - the brush is so diddy & cute

TrillianAstra · 17/03/2011 10:24

Why would you buy the "reasonable... not outstanding" waterproof mascara when you could have the blinc or clinique curling one which are good and are waterproof as well. I think they only looked at ones with 'waterproof' in the name.

stylenotfashion · 17/03/2011 10:25

I suspect you may well be right.

Fools.

I still want the dinky brush one though.

mrsbumbledosem · 17/03/2011 16:10

also waterproof mascara feels horrible, sort of weird and grimey but clinique curling feels less irritating and comes off v well when you need it to, not when you don't.

FanjoForTheMusic · 17/03/2011 17:00

If you like short bristles you might like Boots No 7 Exceptional Definition. It's about 12 quid I think, which is still a bit Shock for a mascara, but it's really good. I hate clumpy lashes but this is very natural looking.
