I just want to say a massive thank you, whoever it was, because after fruitless trouser searching up and down oxford st/regent st I remembered what you said and as a result I have it all sorted now - trousers for any eventuality. Brilliant brilliant lovely shop, lovely assistants, really reasonable prices and they had many sizes of everything - and while I'm on the subject of stock availability why is it that bloody COS, which has nice stuff, never ever EVER has a sensible stock of things. each time I go there I think "oh that looks nice" - but they have five size 18s - or one size 12, and that's it - and there's a notice on the wall which says "if you can't find it please ask" - but when you do they just smile and say "no we don't have it, no we can't order it, no we don't know when or if we'll get any more".

I feel a bit better now. sorry for ranting Smile

It wasn't me but I've also recently had a good shopping experience in Benetton...

I got some lovely vest tops, a gorgeous scarf (khaki, coral and blue) and nice spring cardigan. I also found the assistant really helpful especially when I got confused with the sizing.

I tried on some nice cropped chinos too, should have bought but nevermind. What trousers did you buy?

where have all the benetton shops gone?

faustina · 15/03/2011 15:35

all the benetton shops seem to be on oxford street southeast astra! A huge one at oxfird circus, and then another one towards tottenham court road.

I bought - some of their cropped chinos - lovely colour - kind of greeny grey - and a pair of grey linen chinos, a bit baggier. I could have bought another couple of pairs easily. perhaps tomorrow I'll go back on my way home and look at their tshirts

I haven't bought anything from this shop since the eighties I think!

Blimey I didn't know Bennetton were still going!!

I had a top from there that I got in about 1987 and I wore it nearly all the time for about 5 years, until it finally looked so shabby it was embarrassing!!

I lovesd it so much!

I love Benetton, there is one in my nearest town. I think I know the grey linen chinos that you mean. I really like it for dc´s clothes, I get nearly everything for them there.

LOL at southestra!!

No it was a short sleeve scoop neck t shirt that had a navy blue almost like a steam pattern.

I never saw another one.
I used to wear it with navy shorts, chinos, a small linen mini skirt, jeans in fact nearly everything.

That thing that you linked is awful!!!
