Urrrm... As above.

Are they worth it? I mostly use bobby brown or chanel lipstick.

What do you want it to do?

I use MAC Prep & Prime lip. It helps to stop my lipstick bleeding. Doesn't keep it on longer though but that's because I seem to lick it off. My friend uses it and says it stops hers coming off on her teeth.
Another thing that helps stop the lipstick bleeding is using a very tiny amount of MAC's Paint Pot (which is actually cream eyeshadow) in Painterly around the edge of the lips before lipstick.

Oh really? I hoped/thought it gave better staying power. Also as a moisturising base as my lips get quite dry and with most lip balms lipstick on top has no staying power. Worth getting on that basis?

Thanks!

I don't find it that moisturising. I tend to put lip balm on top of my lipstick rather than underneath. I would use something like 8 hour cream or Lucas Paw Paw ointment on my lips whilst I do the rest of my make up to moisturise my lips and then once I get to my lips I would blot the balm off my lips, put on prep & prime followed by liner and lipstick and then later in the day if my lips start to feel dry put a stick lip balm over my lipstick. If you apply it carefully, tapping it on rather than swiping over the whole lip it shouldn't mess up your lipstick. Some balms will make my lipstick bleed so I have to be careful but the Nivea one in the blue tube doesn't seem to do that.
