Victoriana Boots from next or similar

I want to buy some longish lace up Victoriana Boots, eventually want a pair in brown and black but will start with a black pair - will sneak the others in when dp isn't looking!

Anyway I like these from next, bottom row second from left. But I do ahve quite chunky calves. Does anyone have these, can they be laced up looser or do they then look daft?

Is there anywhere else that sells similar boots that counld house my calves with comfort?

I know Clarks does some of its boots in different calf widths.

Will check out clarks as they had a really nice pair but were too skim in the calf.

Oh and I have quite chunky calves and I find River Island and Wallis to be quite generous. Also Brantano has a good range of boots by different makes so they might be worth a go.

I think I got a pair of these a couple of years ago and they don't come up that high in the calf - not to the fattest bit anyway.
Plus if they are under trousers - you won't see if they are a bit loose?

They are for under skirts as I have shorter ones for under trousers. I ordered these but they are too large around the calf and I wanted more delicate lacing detail. I have ordered the next pair and see if they fit.

While talking about boots I went into New Look today and they had wider fitting Boots as well which would be good for a one season trendy buy. Some great teal ones which has become my colour this year.
