Bridesmaid dress help

gilbonzothesecretpsychoduck · 11/03/2011 14:19

I'm being my future sister-in-law's bridesmaid in September. I'm currently a 14/16 waist with 36HH boobs (hoping to be a 12/14 by the wedding!) I've fallen in love with this dress and have found a matching cover up, but I wanted to know what any of you wise and wonderful ladies think of it and whether it will be flattering to my massive norks! TIA

Dress is ok but ont think the cover up will go(due to halterneck style). Monsoon have some lovel maxi dresses(I wear the one I got out from there to death).

I looked at Monsoon but the prices were a bit £££. We need 3 adult dresses, a flower girl and a page boy so trying to keep the cost down.

Good point about the cover up. I hadn't considered the halterneck fitting with it.

I think the dress looks beautiful, very flattering Smile Agree the jacket might not go and is the wrong shape for massive norks lol. What about a wrap instead?

I think gold or purple would work.Or maybe a bright contrast like fushia or lime if you fancy that?

I was thinking about a wrap but my dcs are the flower girl and page boy so will need hand holding down the isle and I hate my upper arms. Is there a way of holding it in place so I don't flap the hymn books out of everyone's hands with my bingo wings??

If you put the pash on as usual and wrap the loose ends at the front under your arms and tie in a knot at the small of your back it will keep it secure in a bolero shape for the church bit. I have worn mine like that a few times Smile

Fantastic plan! Thank you Smile. Now all I've got to do is persuade SIL to go for that dress for us......
