I am desperate for some advice on skin care / regime for myself.

I am 33 and have a few lines and have a deep frown line on forehead, and my skin is not in good condition. It is very uneven and my pores are quite noticeable. I have quite oily skin, and after a couple of hours of having my make up on my face goes all shiny and I often have big under skin spots and blackheads Blush.

I am looking for a regime to follow and need some recommendations ladies Smile

I need some products that will help with the acne/oil issues but also help with ageing skin (if there is such a product).

I am on a budget also, I can't afford £20 + on creams, so this also is a factor, and I can't afford to see a dermatologist right now.

Help me please ??!!

okay. please don;t scoff at this, but i know an amazing skin treatment...

crush 3 aspirin, add a drop of water and a teaspoon of honey.

apply to face. leave for a few minutes. rub into your face a bit (the crushed aspirin acts as an exfoliant) and wash off.

honestly, i couldn't believe the effects of this when i first tried it. it's something to so with the acid in the aspirin that has a deeply cleansing/ exfoliant effect. and the honey soothes and moisturises.
it's great for oily skin, but i wouldn't do it every day (maybe once a week) because of the acidity.

If you have acne, go to your GP for a prescription.

For oily skin, use a face wash and moisturiser that's naturally astringent. It will clear up the oil without stripping your skin. Boots do a range that's as cheap as chips, called Essentials Cucumber.

Face Wash £1.52
Toner £1.42
Moisturiser ££1.52
Clay Mask £2.03
Currently on 3 for 2 at the moment.

Regarding ageing, use sunscreen SPF 50+ (broad spectrum UVA/B(which goes on after you moisturise). I thoroughly recommend La Roche-Posay see here. It's a lotion that's for oily/ imperfect skin at £15.32.

Thanks for the advice carat Smile

I don't have full on acne so I don't think the doctor would give me a prescription ??
