Would anyone like to help me find a dress for my birthday night out?

It's my 30th birthday coming up Shock and I'm in the process of organisng a night out with my best girl friends, meal then dancing etc to help me drown my getting old sorrows!!

I would love a dress which is dressy but not formal and makes me look younger! (a sort of miracle dress really!)

I am 5'5", size 12, dark hair, wobbly tummy and hate my legs so need to be able to wear thick tights/leggings with it. Also, just to add to the challenge I can only really stretch to about £50.

Ladies, I need your help! Thank you

something structured and tight? Think there actually far more flattering than looser dresses.

llynnnn · 10/03/2011 22:11

do you think bristol? even with a very flabby tummy! and round bum! Blush

ok I've said it before I will say it again big bums are good! Grin and yes definitely, something structured will hold it all in. I was thinking something Victoria Beckham like. Or first dress 3rd page or page ten 3rd dress is lovely to, you are only a 12 after all.

bristolcities · 10/03/2011 22:50

I would wear it with a full Spanx body suit and hold in tights untill bio oil invents a miracle solution.

llynnnn · 10/03/2011 22:51

like the print on the 1st one, bristol.

pretty, especially in white, but not sure if could wear black/dark tights with it?

Have you thought about trying EBay for a cheap designer dress? I've been stocking up on Issa dresses (which are gorgeous and very flattering) at a fraction of their retail price.
The Fashion Outlet on EBay has some great deals - LK Bennett seem to have 50%+ off most of their items!

llynnnn · 10/03/2011 23:04

thanks cavemum, i'll have a look at that. must head to bed now, no doubt dd2 will be up squealing soon Hmm
will be back tomorrow though, i love shopping!

I like the third dress. You could definitely wear black tights with it.
