That is gorgeous.

kittya · 10/03/2011 21:24

That is gorgeous, do you know how accurate their sizes are?

I just bought one from Whistles, they have some lovely dresses in.

AintMissBeehiving · 10/03/2011 21:26

Cyb - it's All Saints Shock. I haven't been able to take to them since Boobie Wickham's All Saints Ghost Dress Disaster.

Was it really lovely and was gal stick thin and tall or normal?

eshermummy · 10/03/2011 22:13

Yes, Cyb could you elaborate on how/where/why in an S&B sense.
Dress does look nice, but I would automatically dismiss as would struggle to think of where to wear it and what to wear it with.
Day or evening?
Did you see her with bare arms or something over and what was footwear?

LadyCorneeofsilke · 10/03/2011 22:15

how short is it? Are you sure it looked amazing? There is a zebra on it.

LTEC · 10/03/2011 22:19

I have to stick my hand up here and say that I tried it on in RL (am a sucker for anything with an other-worldly element, just ask my dc who will one day abuse me for their names) and yes, it is amazing, even on an ordinary 38yo female. Currently in my shopping basket. And 15% cashback with quidco.

Oh esher I failed to notice ANy of those bona fide's

Just saw a lovely frock and asked the girl where twas from. She was working in Bentalls so I guess it was her 'uniform'. THe print is lovely

Aaah ok, so if she worked in All Saints in Bentalls then she was probably about 21 and a size 6 (ime). Also, wearing it in Bentalls doesn't count as rl imo as the temp is always sub-scorchio therefore no need for a cardy.
Sometimes I think I would quite like to work in a shop (part time natch) just to get to wear nice things in a hermetically sealed environment where you don't have to factor in the weather etc.
I actually worked in Bentalls as a Sunday girl many years ago, but in the v unglamorous (and now defunct I think) curtains department!

cyb · 11/03/2011 07:38

esher I didnt realise you were a clothing detective!

I just liked the dress!

Monty27 · 11/03/2011 10:46

Don't like it! Confused

cheesesarnie · 11/03/2011 10:50

i kind of like it but its not exciting enough.it would never be a favorite.

brimfull · 11/03/2011 10:50

I like the shape and style of the dress but not the print.

barbieisaskinnybitch · 11/03/2011 10:51

fugly.

5DollarShake · 11/03/2011 10:54

Hmm, I get why some people might like it, but like it £165? Hmm

CeliaFate · 11/03/2011 11:06

I'm not fussed, it looks nothing special. I'd walk past someone wearing that and wouldn't give it a second glance.

JaneS · 11/03/2011 11:27

Ooh, I love it, but then I love All Saints. Would wait until it's less money, though!

I partly love All Saints because I am a size 8/10 in there ... they have the most flattering sizing, which you don't expect for a trendy young-person shop. (Normally 12/14).

Does anyone know if there's similar fabric to their flower-print stuff anywhere else? I am in love with their 'Lost game' fabric and they've got floaty maxi dresses in it this year ... but for £450 and designed for A/B cups. Sad

Any ideas of a substitute? Their colours are just so nicely judged - really gorgeous dark purple, so the florals aren't too wishy-washy.
