I like a bit of gloss/glitter - I find matt sticks in my creases.

I'm using a Bourjois silvery colour at the moment - but I think it might be a bit 'cold' looking.

I tried the Bobbi Brown cream eyeshadow in a very pale brown colour - but I find it too bland and also the 'gloss' ends up under the inner corners of my eyes after a few hours.

any recommendations? for non creasey, stay put all day?

MAC Naked Lunch is a really lovely shade for neutral everyday wear. Really brightens the eyes.

IslaValargeone · 09/03/2011 19:47

I think Revlon do a long stay range of eyeshadow.

bluerodeo · 09/03/2011 19:51

was also going to recommend MAC - not sure of their glossy stuff tho, i mostly use matt stuff

Dior 5 shadow palettes- I have the matte one but they do one with shine etc.

Benefit do glimmery cream eyeshadows that last all day. They're gorgeous. There's a smoky pale brown that I use - not cold at all.

Have a look at Urban Decay - they have some gorgeous colours and they are long-lasting, even more so than MAC ime.

I had a bit of a make over at the Sue Devitt counter in Harvey Nicks and the make up lady used one of these pencils on my eyes.

The pencil is really chunky and the crayon lovely and soft.

The colour she used on me was a lovely intense green, she drew a line across my lid and then used a brush to blend the pencil upwards into an eyeshadow, she also used it under my bottom lashes and softened it with the brush. I now wear this every day. I am nearly 46 btw. She also showed me how to make it a more smokier look using a black pencil and a touch of green eyeshadow.

I really recommend this brand.

YSL duo palettes are the best I've ever used. They last long all have a bit of shimmer and are great colours.

brimfull · 10/03/2011 16:30

Maiidamess · 10/03/2011 16:31

Maiidamess · 10/03/2011 16:55

do you wear primer on lids

makes a bit o' difference I reckon

brimfull · 10/03/2011 16:57

have tried Urban decay one and it made my lids look really dry

Maiidamess · 10/03/2011 16:58

I'm using clinique

I reckon my eye shadow stays on until 12 now, used to be until 10.30

I ahve what we call in the trade 'greasy lids'

brimfull · 10/03/2011 16:59

I don't think there is any product that'll stop creasing...fact of life

teach that to your yr11's

bellavita · 10/03/2011 17:25

I didn't realise QVC did Sue Devitt, I will go and have a look.

TracyK · 10/03/2011 19:06

I used a BB white primer on my lids - but it just makes my lids look dry. I'd love the BB gel eyeshadow - if it didn't slide down to under my eyes!
