Dd1 needs a prom dress BUT......not the traditional pretty type. HELP!!

Dd1 is almost 16 and looks fab, short dramatic hair, likes to look different

This is her description of what she wants:

Corset style top in red and black satin and lace with the skirt part short at the front (above knee) and long at the back (to the floor) in black or red satin.

She wants to look elegant from the back and then turn around to look wow (her words lol)

I can't find anything......help me please

Can I firstly suggest buying the corset top and the skirt separately?

There's LOADS of corset tops on ebay. You'll easily find one.

You may have to buy a long skirt and alter it yourself (use wonderweb if you can't sew). Again look on ebay. A bellydancing skirt may be what you want.

Katz's and TMMJ's seem to fit the bill based on your description although personally they seem very age inappropriate for a 15 year old.

Think MMJ might have got it spot on, that skirt is adjustable so she can go as high as she chooses.

Gok Wan did something similar to a normal eveningown by putting a ballet tutu underneath and then tucking the front of the dress into the models knickers - I kid you not! It actually looked really good!
