What do you do with your old bras? Go to Bravissimo

I normally just throw my old bras away (too scruffy for the charity shop). However, I was in my local Bravissimo store this week and noticed that they are doing a 'donate your old bra to charity' bin in there.

What a great idea - the bras are recycled and used in 3rd world countries for women who cant afford bras.

(Reminds me of a market stall I saw in Morocco last year which was full of old manky bras, as well as old tights!!)

Anyway, Bravissimo here I come. This campaign isn't covered on their website or publicised in any way - I just saw the bin in the corner of their store.

My bras are unsafe to wear by the time I retire them. Wires popping out, hooks bent the wrong way...

I have a drawer full of lovely bras which I can no longer fit into due to breastfeeding. This sounds like an idea can accept instead of sobbing into my hanky as they get thrown away.

Or send them direct to these people (may be the same charity)

I'm going to check out which charity next time I'm in town as I've been looking for a good home for some virtually new ones.

How many bras does it take to make 1kg!! and they give one pound to charity. It is a business for them I take it??

Sorry to be so cynical, I am talking about two separate appeals/donations here and not implying anything about the ones mentioned.

I am currently sending ridiculous amounts of flyers and leaflets to trading standards from profit making organisations which I get through the letterbox each week.
