hedwig06 · 08/03/2011 11:59

arrhh Cheesesarnie,

I should have been more specific - sorry

its my feet that are the problem Smile

Jogging bottoms should only be worn when actually jogging. Ballet flats will look fine with jeans. The trousers need to be returned.

hedwig06 · 08/03/2011 12:04

lol boobooglass,

Very to the point, I needed you when I was out shopping.

xx

Sorry for the bluntness. But I cannot stand jogging bottoms. They look so sloppy and I refuse to believe you will feel good wearing them. Take them back and get something that you can actually wear out of the house

hedwig06 · 08/03/2011 12:07

Boobooglass,

I'm thinking of this as well - what do you think??

I'm size 14/16

They will be of for yoga, housework or possibly having a duvet day.

If you aren't planning any of these soon get a refund.

upahill · 08/03/2011 12:08

meant OK for yoga......

BooBooGlass · 08/03/2011 12:09

The coat is nice. But only if teamed with some good jeans. The shoes will look good with it. Afew decent staples and you'll be laughing. Get some good underwear sorted first, then a few good t shirts for every day, a few pairs of jeans and a skirt or two. Nothing that you can use to work out in.

hedwig06 · 08/03/2011 12:11

I'm chuckling away to myself here, I never thought jogging bottoms were that bad, shows how much I know Smile

Thanks everyone I'll keep them for wearing in the house.

(I thought I looked good in them Blush)

cheesesarnie · 08/03/2011 12:13

hedwig06 · 08/03/2011 12:16

lol cheesesarnie,

well I know that nooowwww .....

Grin

I'm trying to buy some stuff for myself rather than the kids, its really hard, I know straight away what looks good for them, but me not a clue.

Plus I'm on a budget so it makes it hard, I'm looking at Asdas site at the moment, there's some peg leg black trousers there, dare I ask if they are alright??

OP posts:
GetOrfMoiLand · 08/03/2011 12:17

Are you going to wear jogging bottoms, ballet shoes and a parka?

Don't do that Grin

BooBooGlass · 08/03/2011 12:18

Peg leg is a no. You are not (to my knowledge at least) a pirate. I have been a 14-16 and I found that kind of ankle gripping trouser made me look ten times bigger. You need a good pair of slim leg trousers and maybe some bootcut jeans. Not the trendiest, but probably the most flattering.

cheesesarnie · 08/03/2011 12:19

we need to know more.body shape, size, age and what styles you like.burn the jogging bottoms!or take them back and swap them.

GetOrfMoiLand · 08/03/2011 12:19

No to the peg legs trousers. I am tall and thin but peg legs make me look like Hattie Jacques.

hedwig06 · 08/03/2011 12:21

hahahah

No not wearing them all together - but if I hadn't come on mumsnet for advice ..... you never know Grin

Ok so no peg leg's, back to the jeans page .....

Thanks everyone, least i'm smiling now, i've got no clothes still but smiling Smile

cheesesarnie · 08/03/2011 12:40

if you have a figure like holly willoughby im very jealous!id love curves!
whos style do you admire?

bristolcities · 08/03/2011 12:59

Oh for gods sake if you want to wear a pair of comfortable trousers out of the house then do it. And yeah were them with ballet pumps as long as there not to baggy, don't want to be looking like Princess Jasmine.

bristolcities · 08/03/2011 13:01

they're* Blush

sahminspain · 08/03/2011 13:11

I don´t mean to barge in but do you mind if I comment? I wear those kind of jogging bottoms around the house or on the way to a yoga class with havs in the warmer weather and I think that they look quite cool but it is dangerous territory and I agree that there are other comfy options without resorting to them.

I like the jacket as it is a good basic.I wouldn´t rule out the peg legs until you try them on as I am a pear size 10 bottom 8 top and I have a pair and they flatter me when in theory I should look like a parsnip.

hedwig06 · 09/03/2011 08:17

Sorry for not replying, I had to go off and do school run, etc.

Here's what I'm wearing today:

www.next.co.uk/shopping/women/shoesandboots/2/2?extra=sch&n=women&pid=961-141#LID=01_01_06

Seems to be ok .... I think.

Seems the DH also agrees with the jogging bottoms only for home rule Grin

Thanks again to everyone who "spoke" to me yesterday
