Wedding in LA in April - got the dress, help me with the rest!

Hello all,
I know how you love to dress people for weddings and I need some help. I've searched on the web for what I'm looking for, but maybe you know some other places to look!

I have bought this dress from Hobbs www.hobbs.co.uk/index.cfm?page=1116

To be honest, I'm not sure about it - it will get damaged really easily; sticky fingers, snagging, and it was really too expensive for what it is. But a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, and I haven't really got time to look any more.

I want to accessorise it with purple - ambitious I know, and that's where you lovely ladies come in.

I need a short sleeved cardi (classis 50s style, ideally) or shrug in dark purple, and purple shoes, not too high, again something quite classic. I'm not a fashiony, elaborately dressed person at all.

Any ideas??

jus get some normal shoes - you can wear anything wiht those
cardigans galore in pahse 8

I really like that dress. Very feminine and pretty.

Not convinced about purple cardie and shoes with it though.

Did find the following if you are set on purple though. Short sleeved cardies are proving difficult to find!

Love that first one bunny. I really like the dress mrsbaboo, but again not sure about purple with it. Mind you, not sure what other coloured shoes either. I'd prob play it safe and go with nude/neutral/taupe. You could also go navy/indigo I suppose if you want another colour with it?
