Any suggestions? It is ages since I bought some jeans, I tend to wear them to death if I find some I like. I don't wear heels as a rule, and I don't mind spending a bit if they are dead nice.

I got the demi fit skinny legs and they are brilliant.

Forgot to add that I am a size 14 and 5'3" and the size 30S fit a treat.

Maybe not right on trend for the current fashion 'look' of skinny, but this style is the most flattering for the figure you describe.

Am a similar size to you and the nicest jeans I've owned have come from Select at less than £20 each.

£80 for jeans? You are having a laugh arent you? Dont care hpw good they look(jeans are strictly casual wear imo) would never pay more than £25 for a pair.Peacocks have a good selection(all under £20).

I've not tried them on myself but I've seen people recommending NYDJ on here a lot - Not Your Daughter's Jeans. Might be worth a look? Think John Lewis stock them.

D'you know, I wear jeans all the time (unless I am at work) so I would pay £80 to look good every day! So many jeans fit badly and make my legs look stumpy or my arse shows when I bend down or whatever that I can never get it right. I did wonder about NYDJ, they are very expensive aren't they? I'd have to try them on and see how lumpy/gorgeous I looked
