Shoot me now. I just bought a pair of K Shoes.

Weeks of painstaking searching for comfortable ballet flats led me to my local branch of Clarks where, ignoring the poster of two "mature" ladies above the K Shoes display, I finally found what I was looking for, nestling between the orthopaedic sandals and the sensible booties.

These.

I am many many years from retirement age. But oh, they're soooo comfortable....

Is there any hope? Please tell me they're OK.

K shoes are comfortable and well-made. YANBU. I have my eye on a pair of their sandals already.....

FGM · 06/03/2011 22:25

have you booked your cruise yet? would look lovely with white slacks and a casual polo shirt! Grin

FGM · 06/03/2011 22:27

only joking- just tell yourself that they are French Sole/ Pretty Ballerinas/ Bloch Wink

CointreauVersial · 06/03/2011 22:31

I figure that, as long as I never remove them from my feet, no-one will be able to see the huge "K" on the insole.

No white slacks in my wardrobe as yet. Now you mention it, elastic waistbands sound very appealing....

Hmm they are ok but was there no alternative?!! Grin

CointreauVersial · 06/03/2011 22:32

Jewels - I may not be an old lady, but I have bunions.

oh no CointreauVersial! Well a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do, and if that means to be able to walk with a spring in our step some comfortable shoes are needed they hey ho! :)

hfaz · 06/03/2011 22:41

I think they are ok, I'd go for comfort every time. You can't have a good day unless your pants and shoes are comfy :)

CointreauVersial · 06/03/2011 22:42

Honestly, I searched everywhere! I couldn't believe how hard it was to find a comfortable pair that weren't cut low on the toes.

I'm sure they'll be fine, but I just felt like a complete old biddy in the shop. DH thought it was hilarious.

Lose the box or get a toddler to scribble on it so it looks like Paul Smith! Could work on the insole too Grin.

Like Jewels said a girl's gotta do...

CointreauVersial · 06/03/2011 22:49

Where's my marker pen?

What does the Louboutin logo look like? Grin

I'm a (mere) 31 and I'd definitely wear them!

I love Clarks. They do half sizes :) I love M&S Footgloves too.

wendihouse22 · 07/03/2011 09:46

Hey, a girl's got to get around comfortably, right? Of course right!

Metallic.......not for me!

bang

Buda · 07/03/2011 11:47

I bought a pair of K Shoes - black ankle boots. Wore them a few times. Then went to stay with MIL. She has the same ones. Reader - I never wore them again.

Meggles76 · 07/03/2011 12:07

These
They are Clarks rather than K (should raise your street cred by a point Wink). I think they are a little prettier that the others you linked. More practical for summer as the sole is lighter

sahminspain · 07/03/2011 12:39

Comfort is key in life. There´s nothing worse than a day in too tight skinny jeans, uncomfortable shoes, badly fitting bra and knickers. I think those K shoes look fine but I am a 32 year old fan of Clarks and Footglove Blush

ellangirl · 07/03/2011 12:41

I was considering buying those ones meggles as I have wide feet and bunions (boo!) Was hoping they were just about acceptable :o

CointreauVersial · 07/03/2011 12:45

Meggles, I saw those ones, but they were pretty boat-like in RL.

I'm just clinging on to the idea that it's not what you wear, but how you wear it.

But a little bit of me will die if I see some old crumbly in the Post Office in the same pair.

OP posts:
Meggles76 · 07/03/2011 12:50

ellan they come in wide fit as well as regular fit.

cointreau, I am a size 3.5 - 4 foot. Maybe this is why I did not notice the boat-like look!

CointreauVersial · 07/03/2011 13:02

Size 7.5 here. Now you see my dilemma.

I would love to wear pretty-dainty-princessy-tippy-toes shoes but with my old-lady bunions? Not a good look.
